Just start the playoffs already.

Are you eager to get the season over with since you're already certain the Hawks are losing in the 1st round?

Well i'm not sipping the kool aid because Crawford nor Emery will beat anyone in a series.

If they the Preds, they're done quick.

Agreed about Nashville, but their chances are much higher than 0% to beat some of those other teams.

For those that care about this sort of thing, and I sort of do, the league's new television deal with NBC removes a round of playoff games from local networks. So CSNC will now only carry the first round.

Though it is very cool that every game will be televised every night -- no regional coverage -- across NHLN, NBC (only for weekends and finals, I assume), NBCSP and CNBC.

What a long, strange season its been...........

I opted out of going to the game last night even though I am in St Paul for work. Must have had a preminition...

There certaintly have been a lot of strikes and gutters.

Which means we're probably somewhere in the middle, which probably means a tough first or second round out.

yes but one less round of Foley.

I dont know I go both ways. On one hand its nice to listen to the home guys you've heard all year. But on the other hand, the national broadcasts just seem bigger, and more like playoff games IMO.

Yeah I feel the same. Though it depends on who is doing the national games. If we get Doc or the guy who does Caps game (forgetting his name), it's good. Some of their second-team guys are terribly boring though.

As a Wings fan I am kind of glad. I would have preferred playing the Sharks out of all the teams that we could have played, but that would have needed some work for them to be 3rd. I think I would just as soon play the Preds than the Coyotes or Kings. At least the games at Nashville will have a decent starting time.

So our 1st round opponent is still up on the air.

Making things confusing, LA and SJ are playing each other tonight. If Phoenix wins in any way, it's simple. Hawks vs. Yotes I. round 1.

If the Coyotes lose, it gets confusing.

PHX regulation loss: winner of SJ/LA is division winner and plays Hawks.

PHX OT/SO loss: If LA beats SJ, LA is the 3 seed. If SJ beats LA, I believe PHX wins division.

I'm probably missing something

Yotes up 2-0 after 1 period. Better start reading up on Phoenix. They are a good team that gives us problems but I think we have a shot at beating them.
