Yeah...this is embarrassing. Ironically its been some decent goaltending by Crawford in this period that's allowed us to even have a chance for a point in this game.

Can't believe that....we're fortunate to get at least a point at home against the crappy ass Islanders.

Islanders had 6 points on the road all year...last in NHL.

something isn't right

They've looked really good at times this year, and other times downright awful. One game in the last 5 days, they should be well rested and flying all over the ice.

The only thing that makes me not overreact is that we went through a similar lackadaisical period 2 years ago in March when everyone was bagging on the goaltender, and the Hawks were struggling against mediocre to bad teams. Certainly got out of that hole.

Niemi just put it together for us. Be honest. Is Crawford going to do the same?

I'd be excited to see my first NHL game, even it it was between two bottom-feeders. Have fun, man. Live NHL hockey is fantastic!

I don't think the goalie was the only reason why we were slumping that march, nor is Niemi stepping up the only reason we had better results the rest of the season, but he was a big part sure.

Crawford had stretches last season where he stepped up, so I don't see why not.

Going to the game vs. the Blues tomorrow night in STL. First NHL game ever. You think I'd be more excited...

It's hard not to enjoy live hockey. Its a ton more enjoyable to watch live IMO.

I mean, I AM excited, but I was super pumped two weeks ago to see this team. Now I'm hoping they don't lay another egg.

My firm's Christmas party is tonight. I'm outraged.

Enjoy the game. The place will be amped, especially with Perron coming back. They think he's way better than he is.

Emery in goal tonight. So the hawks will have their best netminder between the pipes.

oh come on. If you compare his season to the recent rough stretch by Crawford that I posted on the last page, Crawfords numbers are still better than Emery's.

No need to overreact to a bad 10-15 game stretch. It's disappointing and worrisome, but it doesnt erase what he's done in the past and can do in the future.

Obviously I was being sarcastic but there's no denying Crawford has been terrible of late

I know you were being sarcastic, but I think people in general are overreacting to Crawfords struggles. If he's still sucking in a month, then I'll panic.

lol, you're just like Jessie Rodgers, Crawford can do no wrong.

He can do plenty wrong, especially right now. Doesn't mean you have to give up on him as the Blackhawks goalie for the next several years because of a bad month. (not saying you said that, but its the kind of overreactions ive been seeing)

Nice 4 point weekend for the Hawks! Not always pretty but I'll take it.

Wish we could work on that goal differential though. We're at 16-8-3 but only +6 for the season.

Take the 9-2 Edmonton game and the 6-2 Vancouver game out and the goal differential looks a lot better though I'm sure most good teams could say this.

holy [expletive] that was fun. great atmosphere, fast, physical game. tons of hawks fans. great time.

Yeah, the Scottrade Center is a nice place to watch a game.

Ugly game yesterday, but they found a way to get two points out of it. And after a shaky first 25-30 minutes today, they dominated the rest of that game against a team that has been red-hot ever since they made their coaching change a few weeks ago.
