holy [expletive] that was fun. great atmosphere, fast, physical game. tons of hawks fans. great time.

I dvr'd through the goals when I got home and it sounded like there were a lot of Hawks fans there. There is usually one Saturday night game a year in STL between these teams, and the place is always rocking on those nights.

It might've been a 50/50 split. There were Hawks fans everywhere. We went to the Schlafly Brewhouse before for a tour/drinks/appetizers and there were tons of Hawks fans there. Then before the game we went to the bar inside the Sheraton right next to the arena and there was one table of 4 Blues fans and the rest of the bar, which was full, was Blackhawks fans. Our section (101) was probably 80/20 in favor of the Hawks.

Didn't we just play PHX at home and got throttled? Revenge time.

Now more than ever, with the Bears in the toilet, a long Hawks winning streak would be nice.

Jonathan Toews is pretty good at the sport of hockey. Hart in his future?

With the 2 goals, he's now on pace for a 50 goal season, with 92 overall points.

Dammit...the one thing Crawford is good at is the shootout. Emery apparently, is not.

Hawks lose, but at least they get a point. Blah. They should have won this. They had several chances in the 3rd that were inches from going in. Poor luck. At least they came back.

No talk of the realingment?

I'm in favor of it. Keeps rivalry with Detroit. I understand there will be home and homes with every team, every season. So that's good. Our division (conference) is also pretty good. I like the possibility of renewing the rivalry with MN.

It's interesting. I never really felt comfortable with playing the west coast teams twice at their place per year. We are 2,000 miles away from those teams. It's quite radical with the idea of 4 conferences. I am assuming that each conference will have their own playoffs and then the 2 "western" league winners will play and same with the East. It's almost like the playoffs with the division playoffs followed by conference finals and stanley cup.

I'm glad Detroit remains in our conference so that we still play them 6 times a year. I also like playing every team in the league at least twice.

So the schedule would look like this for the Hawks.... 6 games against 3 teams in the "conference" (18 games) and 5 games against the other 4 (20 games). Then a home and home against the remaining 22 teams (44 games).
