In college, we bought it ironically and because it was $2 for a 6 pack of tallboys. We had a lot in common with the Milwaukee bums when we did it, too.

In all seriousness, hipsters love for PBR has probably made it more available, and I don't worry about being lumped in with them because I don't look like a hipster. So their inability to understand irony and its application to PBR is the one positive contribution they have on society in my opinoin.
