Off the top of my head, without looking at their roster, the only Astros I can think of are Carlos Lee, Wandy Rodriguez, and the wife beater.

This would appear to be the biggest culprit as to why the team isn't anywhere near contention this year. Granted, a lot of teams are really good when their starters give up 3 or fewer runs, but the Cubs' starters simply don't do that very often.

The AL East has a similar occurrence with the Blue Jays being 12.5 out of first and 14 games ahead of the Orioles, though at least the Blue Jays are over .500.
