I don't know. The last time they were legit national title contenders was in the mid-90s (save that one year around 2006). Most years they are mediocre or bad. Most people who are in college right now don' have much of a recollection of the ND glory days. Hell, I barely have much of a recollection of when ND was great as I started watching college football in the Ron Powlus days.

I've never understood what MU fans were worried about in this. There's almost no plausible scenario in which they don't end up in a good conference. They may not get their 1st choice (B1G), but they'll land somewhere good.

Got the win today against a good Miami-Ohio team, but James Franklin did nothing to cure my concerns I had about him after watching him in camp this fall.

They're like watching old money. They are living on a legacy and still act like they have something, but they don't and they are the only ones who believe they do.

 

I've never met a fan base with a worse sense of entitlement that has no foundation. They should join the MAC. They might win a conference championship once a decade.

My wife goes to ND grad school so I am making an honest effort to root for them but I am kind of enjoying their 16-0 deficit.

opening game. You have to be thrilled with the defense in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Agreed. Shaky start on defense but really really picked it up later in the game. They actually looked like a real Michigan defense.
