Alas, JJax relapses and gives up 6. LeMahieu with his first HR in AAA.

Devoss is 1-1 with a SB already.

HR #2 for Easterling. He's 2-3 on the day and batting .400.

I'm starting to like that guy.

TSpain is laughing maniacally in your general direction.

May all those who denied Easterling's chiseled bod now tremble in fear.

Thank you Southside Ryan, I couldn't have said it better myself. I am going to laugh all the way to the bank with Easterling. He is coming faster than I thought he would, but people better start taking note that we have ourselves a corner outfielder who is going to be a very good one in the system now. He is in my Top 10. Would be for anyone who saw him play in the College Playoffs, and took a look at the player we got. Money well spent. Best player we have signed so far, in my opinion, cause he has power that DeVoss doesn't have, although I do like the speed of DeVoss. We need both to manufacture runs, and not live or die by the home runs. Go Easterling. I will start his fan club and be the first member. Who is ready to join the club? Funny, no one is laughing now.

You need an Easterling avatar to stake claim as captain of the fan club.

CSN Chicago[/url]"]Watkins, a middle infielder at Daytona, had a miserable first month of the season, batting .141 through his first 27 games with the Cubs. The 21st-round selection in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft closed up his stance during the second week of May, however, and has been virtually unstoppable since.

“It’s just been one of those years,” said Watkins, who hit .261 last season at Peoria. “I didn’t get off to a very good start but I made a few mechanical changes and some things clicked. I’m fortunate that I’ve had two good months in a row. I went through a number of things and I finally closed up my stance.

“I had two hits that day and ever since then I’ve stuck with it. I don’t know specifically what I was doing wrong but I do know that by closing my stance, it keeps me on the plate more and I’m seeing the ball a whole lot better. I still have to finish July and we have August left. But I set a goal to hit .300 and I’m almost there. I can’t let up.”

Easterling and DJ are about the only ones who did anything tonight. A pretty depressing night for the farm.

Golden later chipped in with a 2-4 with a 2B and 3B, but yeah, overall dismal day on the farm. make that the organization.

That probably doesn't even bother you does it?
