Only Cub:

Matt Szczur, of, Cubs

Low Class A Peoria (Midwest)

Better known as a standout football player at Villanova headed into the 2010 draft, Szczur has turned his focus to baseball and has shown off his amazing tools this year, highlighted by his speed.

There's also this guy:

Hak-Ju Lee, ss, Rays

High Class A Charlotte (Florida State)

South Korea

Lee joined the Rays in the Matt Garza trade with the Cubs in the offseason, and he is putting together the best offensive season of his career to complement his strong defensive skills.

Szczur is a good choice, should be interesting to watch, and Lee, well i called it back before the trade, that trading him would be a HUGE mistake, the kids gonna be a superstar

Just remember though, claims made elsewhere don't count. ;)

How long until Lee is in Montgomery? He's having an outstanding season in A+.

They might wait the whole season because of how young he is, although I don't know Tampa's philosophy on promoting prospects. Lee is having a fantastic season and will move up prospect lists although his total numbers are a bit inflated. His BABIP is still crazy high (.401), the 7 3B is probably a little bit of an anomaly and after hitting 2 HR in April he hasn't hit one since. So his numbers will probably keep falling as they have been in May and June, but it's still been a very big step forward for him.

Tampa is known to be pretty cautious/slow with their minor league promotions.

I don't generally pay all that much attention to the Futures game. Anybody know offhand if it's one of those "each team gets a representative" sort of deals like the MLB All-Star game?

I think the Rays will take their time with Lee. With Tim Beckham having completely turned his once floundering status around and, by most accounts, playing a good shortstop in AA, they have no need to push Lee up and can let him develop slowly.
