I swear this isn't hindsight; I don't remember being mad at Bartman at all when this was going down. I'm stomping around my townhouse, I'm swearing about Prior and Gonzalez and Pierre and Mordecai and Derrek Lee and I'm getting mad at Dusty but I could not have cared less about the schlub in the stands.

Our fans suck a lot.

Most sports fans suck.

Yeah, that was a good point about how this would have been a LOT worse in stadium where the home team has a jumbotron.

And seriously, [expletive] you, Scott Turrow. You're a shitty author and a meatball.

This isn't any better 8 years later.

At least none of us went through the nightmare Bartman did.

I wonder if he's still a Cubs fan. I wouldn't be if I had to deal with this crap.

Ugh, Dusty, you fat load. I love that there was a Dusty-cam of him not doing [expletive].

That man is the devil. This whole thing has rekindled my Dusty hate

If he wasn't it would have been easier to cash in on his fame. He hasn't. I gotta think it's because it still hurts him.

When Alou homered in Game 7 I thought all was well.

Then Baker mismanaged the game away.

After his or Wood's homer, I don't remember which one, me and my friend were making plans for game 1 of the World Series.

I had that link to mlb.com saved until they took it down. i used to watch Wood's homer over and over in disbelief.

I cannot believe we didn't win.

I really wish Bartman was actually in this. Not that he would have to explain anything. Just let him scream "[expletive] YOU" to the camera as long as he wants.

ONE how on earth does anyone blame alou for this?

TWO the kgonz error wasn't going to be a double play. i don't know why people think it was. i watched the game on espn classic today. it's obviously just going to be one out, and all the annoucers said the same at the time. i don't know how things changed to "could've been put of the inning."

That [expletive] was "force out at 2nd" all the way. No way they turn two. Cabrera wasn't that fat yet

I also remember that two would have been tough when I watched it live. Gonzalez probably rushed and took his eye off the ball.
