Keep most of his relievers relatively available and just burn Samardzija here? He tried to save Marshall for just the 8th so he'd be available later too, but Grabow and Mateo couldn't get 3 outs. Using Marmol an extra inning here is kind of pointless.

The zone appears to go from the top of the belt to the bottom of the belt. Pads have been patient about it all day, but the Cubs haven't, unfortunately.
