I think I'm just as thankful for the victory as I am for not having to listen to those Padres announcers anymore. That was an abortion of a broadcast.

I only caught pieces of it. One of the guys sounded really familiar but I couldn't place his voice. Who was it?

Also, I'm rooting for Colvin to turn this thing around with a quickness, so I hope the GWRBI buys him a little more favor than however much he had left before the game. I definitely think he's skilled enough to be an asset with this team.

Thanks. Sounded more like a basketball voice to me. FWCIU.

I've always found it funny that in a normal win, teams come out and calmly shake each others hands like its no big deal. But in a walkoff win, they celebrate like they just clinched a playoff spot every single time. There's nothing wrong with it of course, but I would expect something in the middle.

Although to be fair, I'd be pumped to be able to go somewhere heated after 10 innings in that weather.

So if Pena is going to do this bunt for a single thing and can do it well, why not just bat him second for a while? If Castro gets on you have power right behind him, and if he doesn't he can bunt and be a guaranteed baserunner for Aramis.

Oh yeah and move Aramis to 3rd in the order.

Enberg gave up broadcasting college basketball and became the Padres' play-by-play announcer in 2010.

The Cubs and Yankees are the only two teams without either a three-game winning streak or a three-game losing streak so far. The Yankees have a shot at their third straight win on Tuesday against Toronto but the Cubs run will last at least until Wednesday's game since they split the last two games.

this really, really, REALLY made me miss Ron.

Moreland hasn't been terrible, it's just that it's not the same without someone shouting in the background. Alas...

I was at a bar watching the game (along with the Bulls), so I didn't get to hear the broadcast. What were the Padres announcers saying about the sleeping lady in the green hat? She got more camera time than Starlin Castro last night.
