Let's do ten years for fun. Look we almost tied you with 05 by itself. Lol at you saying we picked an arbitrary starting point to strengthen our arguments.

Ok, so 10 years is the magic cutoff point? Are you sure we can't make it 20 years?

Sure. Hell do 25. Do 30.

I'm sorry, 25 is just too long ago...

Well if you want to go back to the beginning of the sport, then Illinois magically becomes the third best football team in the Big Ten. Does that really seem like a sensible argument to you? Same reasoning applies to basketball.

The Illini fans taking their down season with all the dignity we've come to expect, I see.

Half these people aren't even Illinois fans. Smack's devolution into da bum is the real story here.

An unfortunate result of a couple Illini fans being unable to take any needling from a team that beat them twice without making fools of themselves.

I hope you lose by 50.

You would still be behind Princeton in the national football rankings.

Not at all. Why don't modern running backs want to come to us. We had Red Grange. He's better than anyone not named Willie Heston. Hell he might be better than him, let me ask Grantland Rice and Fielding Yost. Crap appears they are dead.

Sorry, I was talking about the Purdue guys. We're the ones you haven't beaten since W was a lame duck.

Let's talk about Purdue great Charles "Stretch" Murphy from the '30s when they were dominating the Big Ten. Murphy was one of the game's first true big men. At 6'6" (1.98 m), he was an insurmountable force on both ends of the court. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960 and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1963. Yep I know that game is the same as what is being played now. I also know he's harder than Deron Williams. On account of being dead for over 30 years.

This place would have much better trolling if we had a legit Kentucky fan.

Agreed. Why doesn't UK ever post?

Because of threads like this.

The last three years against Mizzou have been awful. That I agree with. I can't imagine how y'all felt after nine years.

remember when the st louis writers were whining that they shouldn't even play the game anymore?

The best part is, even though they won't play Kansas, they'll still claim Illinois isn't a rival.

Isn't this just mindless fun? We can only say man our team sucks in so many ways.

And it's drawn dozens of posts and comments from the Illini fans. Mission Accomplished.

Purdue and Illinois are about as similar as two institutions can get. 100 miles apart, same conference, same size, academics, sports. We should be focusing our hate on the Hoosiers.

I can take a hint. I've moved on. We can talk about what the teams have done recently and their probability for future success. Yes?

It's more fun when my team has a solid recruiter/great coach and your team is in limbo though...
