Yes if he's set out a year he should be free to go wherever he wants besides in the Big Ten without penalty.

He had nagging injuries and was 7th on the guard depth chart. Was he even healthy enough to play until Big Ten play? He was right to redshirt, and not playing for 2 years of high school, PLUS giving up a year of eligibility is really dumb.

I agree, but from what is being claimed he was promised immediate playing time. And the poster saying this has been ahead of the curb on many things. FWIW.

Well whoever promised him immediate playing time is a [expletive] idiot. If he'll ever be a PG at this level, it certainly wasn't going to be this year. Which left any logical person to put him at best behind Paul-DJ-Henry prior to the season for 2 spots.

I agree, but the point remains this whole situation is fucked. Thomas needs to act fast or at least let Henry and shaw know they need to wait to decide until after the year. Also man the rest of the '13 class is gonna be [expletive].
