i don't think we get parker, but i think we get hamilton, who i like more anyway. at least, as a college player.

I hope you are right, but I am starting to wonder. I am not sure at all that we understand roster construction. We have 2011 PG Tracy Abrams, 2012 PG Michael Orris, 2013 PG Jalen James, and we've offered 2014 PG Larry Austin. You don't need that many point guards on one roster, especially when you have guys like Bertrand and Head who can play it if necessary.

And no way is Parker playing for Bruce Weber, he's pretty much said as much. When he talks about what he likes at Illinois he always says he's good friends with Jerrance.

That's a weird leap.

Maybe I am just reading this kid wrong, but it sure seems like he wants no part of our program. I don't really blame him either.

6-5 guard malcolm hill just committed to illinois. #69 in the country according to scout, out of belleville.

one more scholarship to go

This is why you don't waste time with Orris.

most expect another one to open up for 2013.

I trust it will, but I'd still like to have 2(+1) for '13.

So go all in for Hamilton?

It's not like we'd get an early commitment from Parker, and they're the clear 1 and 2 in the state. I understand we can't afford to wait around for kids and running the risk of getting nothing, but it sure would be nice to have an extra one in the bank should somebody else blow up over the next year.

I have not read any of this thread so I could be way behind on this but I just read the Rivals150 for this years class and Sam Dekker is ranked 18th. Is this year really that down? Or am I missing something?

That's great except they can't play it effectively. But yeah, they're definitely overdoing the PG slot. I think it's overreaction to being left short like we are now.

Illinois fans are too busy having a meltdown as they are finally realizing they are a middle of the pack Big Ten team.

As for Sam, he's a more athletic Leuer. Can take guys off the dribble, shoot the long ball, and throws it down with ease. Not bad for a 6'7" white kid from Wisconsin.

Since we lost the battle with NC for JP Tokoto, Sam has been shooting up the recruiting boards, while JP has been falling.

that analysis is even more scintillating than every single wisconsin sports team combined.

So is making the tournament every year since '98.

How are all those top flight Illini recruits working out? Still finishing in the middle of the big ten? or dropping a solid 9th place like 3 years ago?

Expected return post: over-emotional defense of how mccamey and tisdale sucked, didn't have any recruits the class after that wait another year until DJ, Paul, Crandall and Meyers Leonard will be dominating blah blah blah same story new year we made it to the championship with dee, luther, deron and jack ingram in 05

Then take shot back: wisconsin basketball is full of slow big white players, gets lucky, won't ever win a championship

Glad we got all that covered.

i can't wait until god wises up and hits your honkeyass state with a snow hurricane and the snow is piled up so high that the rescue workers can't see your vanilla faces mixed in with the snow and everyone drowns in a sea of misery

Dekker is a really nice player. He's pretty different from Luer, though. He's not as big, plays much better with the ball, and is bouncy as hell. I saw him vs. Gary Harris and D3 at the adidas May Classic (on a team with JP Tokoto, among others) and he looked to me to be the best player on his team.

Top 50 7-footer Adam Woodbury is announcing his choice Wednesday night. He told Kansas and Ohio State they're out so it's just Iowa and UNC. Everything seems to be pointing toward Iowa right now.
