Well, opening day was off to a nice start until the wind was walked out of our sails. Time to get into the W column.

Standing in our way will be our former punching bags, the 1st Place Pittsburgh Pirates and this man

Will this be Carlos' 7th straight opening day start? As I recall, the Cubs will not have played a regular season game in 2011 prior to his start tomorrow. I'm pretty sure of that. Although Starlin Castro was pretty awesome in that exhibition game against Pittsburgh today. Anyway, GO Z!! Get the season off to a good start!!

Plenty of tickets available for this one. I am really interested to see just how many people will be there. I just pulled up 10 tickets in section 27 for the game. I'd imagine there are plenty of sections like that.

Z is still my favorite starter on the Cubs. Go kick some ass, dude.

In case he reads this, CT means kick ass on the field, not in your dugout.

Ricketts has overplayed his hand. Ticket prices have gone from merely unreasonable to absolutely obscene.

If you look back at some of the old games they sometimes show on CSN with Harry they will celebrate 25K in attendance and 2 million for the season. I wonder if in a few years we may go back to that.

Highly unlikely.

Many 'newer' Cubs fans don't believe me at first when I tell them there was only 15,000 fans at Kerry Woods 20K game.

I want to question this organization's overuse of Dempster. Two days in a row?

[expletive]. Fix'd.

Same stats though.

When Walker hit that GS yesterday the stadium felt the same way as when James Loney did in the playoffs.

Need to get this one today.

I am leaving for Augusta tomorrow morning and have my season tickets if anyone wants them. Section 411 Row 5....$40 for the pair?? I will be close to the stadium all day today.

Holy crap. Doumit, McCutchen, and Jones own Z.

Didn't Zambrano used to have a picture of Jason Bay in his locker to get himself psyched to play the Pirates? Wonder if he's got himself a new fixation?

I am a lucky soul, my Dad, Grandpa and Uncle are Marshalls on the 15th hole. This will be my 3rd trip (Mickelson's 2nd, Zach Johnson)

Cubs Lineup:

Baker 2B

Castro SS

Byrd CF

Ramirez 3B

Soto C

Pena 1B

Soriano LF

Colvin RF

Z P

Pretty solid. All of those guys are capable of OPSing over .800 in a full season with perhaps the exception of Baker.
