Alright, year 4 of this. It's been productive in the past and seems like a popular idea still. So here we go. Sign-ups for teams can start now (post in this thread or PM me) and we'll get started once all the teams have been filled.

Basically, the premise is this:

1. We'll need at least one person for each of the 30 teams.

2.The first person will be the person of record for that team, but it might be fun to have a bit of a "war room" type of activity. We'll limit War Rooms to five per team.

3. War Rooms participants should share IM names and might want to form a private chat room to discuss their selections. It is recommended that War Rooms take a vote on picks after the discussion and allow the person of record make the pick. If a consensus cannot be reached, the first person to sign up for each team will make the final decision.

4. Picks will be made in real-time, with a set amount of time between picks. After that time ends, a pick will be made for that team - much like the actual draft itself. Each slot will have 24 hours to make a pick.

(Idea and wording courtesy of vance_the_cubs_fan)

Posters can double and triple up if there's a need - I'd like to have more than one for most, if not all, the teams out there. If anybody has any suggestions, post in this thread or you can PM me.

If you want to take one of the teams, post it in here or PM me and I'll update the list.

Vikings please.

My first two rounds last year would have been solid. I took McCourty in the 1st and Morgan Burnett in the 2nd. The Vikings traded out of the 1st but took a CB (Cook) who was injured and ineffective with their first pick. Safety was maybe the biggest weakness on the team this year and I think Burnett would have had a shot.

Don't bother looking at my 3rd round pick. Eek

i'll take the bengals

i highly doubt it will get started this quickly, but i'm out of town the 10th-14th so if i'm holding up the draft that's why. someone can make my pick for me in that case.

Gotcha rocket and Snayke.

And I'm planning to keep the sign-ups open probably til Wednesday or so. That gives three full days (or four if we don't start til Thursday) for people to get online, see the thread and volunteer. That also gives us right around a month and a half to get the draft done - should be plenty of time.

seahawks.

book it. i think this franchise needs to go in another direction, so i am relieving mr huger of his responsibilities. i thank him for his years of work but his help is no longer required.

in summation, thank you, i humbly accept this glamorous and highly paid position.

I'm willing to take on a 2nd team if there's an open spot (or is it more like first come-first served type?) or be a War Room participants for several teams (prefer this actually)... Also if CaliforniaRaisin doesn't mind (if he needs any help), I would like to be a War Room participants for the Bears.

Is there a limit on how many teams you can be on (if say you're a War Room participant)??? Like I rather be the Patriots (my team of choice) and a War Room participants for like 3-5 teams (if possible that many) then say having Patriots and another team (Tampa Bay for example) and a War Room participants for 1 other team...

If possible, I'd prefer to have a different person lead the way on each team. However, you can be on as many war rooms as you'd like - just make sure you're available each time one of the teams come up.

If we can't fill all the teams with different people, then we'll open it up to people doubling up. I'll probably give it til at least Wednesday, if not later, to try to get as many as possible involved, though.

Keep in mind, mhuber can still join the war room.

I'm in. I'll take anyone. Preferably a team in the top 10.

Of the teams still available in the top 10, I don't recall us having Redskins or Cardinals fans on the board.

Posted
I'll take the Ravens as I have in the past unless an actual Ravens fan comes along.

I don't believe we have one, unless I'm forgetting somebody. You've got them.

And IMB, you have the Saints.

Don't want to speak for CCP, but if he wants to continue picking for the Colts with me as understudy (as with the last few years), that would work for me. Edited by Exile on Waveland
