He doesn't mention where he's going, just that he won't be too hard to find.

I consider Neyer the best baseball writer ESPN employed, so now the bar gets lower over there.

I used to like Neyer but tired of him as it is usually just the same stuff with him - I much prefer KLaw. Stark and Olney are solid at what they do. Kurkjian has really good stuff on occasion. I really miss Gammons though.

SB Nation is awesome. It really makes me wish that Bleed Cubbie Blue wasn't their Cubs blog.

Yeah, I totally agree. I hate seeing Al Yellon presented like he's the representative voice of Cubs fans.

Agreed. They are pretty reliable in that they have a blog for just about every professional and major college program and every one is updated at least a couple of times a week and has a decent fan following so that you can get a decent pulse on what a fan base is thinking/feeling on a given day.

Edit: And yes, today's BCB post about which baseball cities would be affected by today's blizzard if there was randomly baseball played on February 1st says all you need to know about that site.

I'll take the opposition view because I feel that he's a know-it-all that can't take criticism and is more than willing to point out when others don't embrace his viewpoints.

I can't tell if you're talking about Rob Neyer or Al Yellon.

Well, now there's no reason to read/listen to any baseball content by ESPN.

I like Keith Law, Jason Stark, and Tim Kurkjian for the most part, but other than Law, I don't think they bring anything different to the table.

Someone could have warned me...just started posting there and can't say I'm impressed....Why I don't get my Cubs fix here is beyond me.

Neyer's a coup for SBNation.

Al Yellon is the President of the Blow Cubbie Sunshine Up Your Ass Society. It's especially painful when he stakes out an incredibly dumb position and refuses to back down from it regardless of an overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary.

They have some good commenters, though. Josh77 does excellent pieces on the minors and draft during the season. Their resident minor league experts also provide good insight.
