College Football - Championship Week (Dec. 4th)

No surprise, Gary Danielson just said the SEC championship was his favorite game to broadcast.

And he just hinted at South Carolina faking injuries to slow down Auburn's offense. What a gem CBS has calling their games. Didn't this guy go to Purdue anyway? What's with the over the top SEC love?

Unreal.

Auburn just caught a hail mary to end the half.

And Carolina gets the ball to start the second half so they would have had a chance to tie it up.

All Newton seems to have to do is throw it up in the air. He's gotten a lot of breaks on those in recent weeks.

Aside from the dropped passes, of course.

God must like the BCS or something.

At this point I'm just happy that TCU is going to get to play a legit team (I assume Wisconsin) rather than another non-AQ or a horrible Big East team like Utah did in 2004.

So...

Title: Auburn-Oregon

Rose: TCU-Wisconsin

Fiesta: OU/NU-

Sugar: Arkansas/LSU-

Orange: FSU/VT-

I'd like to see the Big East winner go to the Orange, that way both teams that nobody wants to watch are stuck in one bowl. After that, don't really care. Stanford is going to be No. 4 and I assume Ohio State gets the last spot.

Why would anyone want to see something other than Oregon vs. Auburn at this point?

Because I'm tired of the SEC being in the title game and would love it if Auburn lost.

I don't have a problem with Oregon playing in the National Championship. I think the whole Cam Newton saga is ridiculous, so I have no interest in seeing Auburn win anything.

Should be a great game though.

It's going to be OU/NU-UConn/WVU in the Fiesta, Arkansas/Ohio State in the Sugar and FSU/VT against whoever's left (most likely Boise State, Missouri and Oklahoma State would be eligible, though Oklahoma might possibly be as well if they lose by a small margin tonight).

I just don't get how someone could watch all season and conclude that anything even comes close to an Oregon/Auburn title game.

You're forgetting Stanford. They'll finish in the top-4 and get an auto at large spot.

I'm hoping the Orange doesn't think Stanford will travel well and will select the Big East winner which would leave OU/NU against Stanford in the Fiesta. Best case is UConn loses tonight which would give WVU the auto-bid.

Crap, how'd I forget Stanford? I think the Orange would probably prefer them to the Big East champ.

You think TCU gets blown out by both of those teams?

I'm not denying Auburn-Oregon should be a great game, I'd just prefer that Auburn not be there simply because they're from the SEC.
