I wonder of the mcnabb benching really pissed him off and all but gave up on the Skins and it took this much money to change his mind and make him feel like the team is committed to him. And the Redskins justified it because they have no options to bring in if McNabb bolts and the Redskins seem to have an endless supply of money so why the he'll not. It's probably not even the most ridiculous signing in the Snyder era. And I'm not saying that to downplay how insane this deal is. If the Bears did this I would have taken the rest of the day off work and cried all afternoon.

Ugh, all this pre-game analysis and blah blah needs to go away.

It's 7:35pm, start the game already. If I want to hear Jaws break down plays I can watch a bunch of other shows where he does that.

IMO they should be kicking off immediately for the start time of these broadcasts. The pre-game junk is old. Does anyone else really find value in this? It's mostly just rehashed junk everyone already knows anyway.

Illini fans: was Michael Hoomanawanui injured or something last season? Blocked by better players? I have no idea how that guy didn't show up more. The St. Louis coaching staff is rightfully getting killed again today for not using him more since he's the only receiver/tight end (other than Jackson) who has big play ability.

uhoh does everything well. he had juice williams throwing to him at illinois. he is everything you want in a tight end.

I would go as far as to call that Sorianoesque.

It's worse, this is the NFL equivalent of signing Soriano to the Cubs deal if he had put up his 2009 numbers his last season in Washington. And if he already had his Cubs injuries on his record when he signed

Remember when everyone got all upset when Vick got named the starter.

To be fair though, Eagles fans kind of live to get upset over stuff.

Great day in Redskins history.

Vick has 45 fantasy points in my league at halftime. I did a little research and it appears that the best individual fantasy performance since 1961 was Clinton Portis in 2003. He had 218 rushing yards, 5 tds, along with 2 catches for 36 yards for 56 fantasy points.

Vick has become what the entire league has always feared he would become. He is absolutely impossible to defend. He's the fastest and most elusive guy on the field, and he happens to have a rocket arm and good receivers. I'm not sure whether it was his motivation, the talent around him, the coaching. But he was beatable in Atlanta. He's pretty much unbeatable right now. He hasn't lost this year. I won't count week 1 against GB, because Kolb started the game. I'd be real curious to see how a team is going to shut him down, short of injuring him or putting up a ton of points on the Philly D.

Another tough loss of my fantasy team. Damn it. I always bring out the best in my opponents. I went up against Cutler and Forte in week 1 too.

he's been a lot more accurate than he was in the past, and it helps that he has a lot of talent around him. i mean, on those atlanta teams he usually had a pretty solid offensive line and decent RBs, but his best receiver was algae crumpler and maybe brian finneran or peerless price. plus the eagles have had good offensive game plans for years now. probably the best plan is to rush him but not have your DE's get up the field, because if they do and he scrambles forward out of the pocket, you're screwed.

this year's eagles team can definitely be scored on; our LBs are not very good and our CBs aside from asante samuel are a pretty big problem. ellis hobbs gave up like 225 yards to kenny britt for God's sakes.

the NFC is pretty wide open... actually the entire NFL is pretty wide open.

And a young Roddy White (albeit a Roddy White that still had a big problem holding onto the ball).
