This will be a tough game. Kolb has started throwing the ball much better the past couple of weeks and fast, deep threats like Maclin give us all kinds of issues. I'll never root for a player to get hurt, but it does help us that it appears Desean Jackson won't play Sunday.

The best shot we have of winning this game is to pressure Kolb heavily and force him into mistakes. The front four has got to get pressure consistently on Kolb so that he can't just sit back in the pocket and find Maclin deep. With their offensive line, I like our chances a lot better.

A 5-2 record entering the bye week is pretty close to the best case scenario I could have hoped for. 4-3 really isn't bad either, considering the youth at key positions.

Is it just me or has New England gotten to 4-1 quietly? For all the talk surrounding them, you'd think they were fighting to stay over .500. Instead, they're hanging out with the best teams in the league.

I really thought they were 2-2 entering this week.

Yeah its been pretty surprising. Branch of all people catches 9 balls in one of the best games so far this year to knock off one of the best teams in the league in Baltimore on Sunday.

I have always been on the NFC bandwagon but man if your in the AFC good luck making the playoffs. Jets, Ravens, Steelers, Colts and Patriots. Geez.

I am not trying to hate on anyone's fav team but that late game schedule looks brutal.

You're not looking forward to Raiders-Broncos? I'm shocked. It's clearly the marquee game of the weekend.

My first thought was that we have about 4 hours wide open before the Vikings game. That's awful.

I hope this whole Packers/Lambeau hype can finally snap Favre back to being good.

Not optimistic about the Sunday nighter. If Matthews can't go, it's going to be a blowout.

Our offense hasn't shown the ability to blow anyone out. Really it all comes down to handling the blitz. Backs haven't been picking up the right man, Shank can't pass protect, the o-line has had breakdowns, the tackles have been inconsistent and/or Favre isn't getting the ball out to the right man fast enough. It's been one of those things all year almost. Last year he feasted when seeing a heavy blitz and getting 1 on 1 matchups. The only way the offense is going to turn around is if they can get that corrected.

We had 0 QB hits on Sunday. Zero.

I think Matthews is going to play but if he doesn't, I expect Favre to have his best game of the season on Sunday night against Woodson, Jenkins, Raji, Collins, Williams and a bunch of practice squad players.

Harris and Bigby are eligible to come back this week but we'll see how far along they are. It doesn't matter if we can't get a rush, though.

Wow, just saw those James Harrison kill shots from the Pitt/Cle game. He needs to sit out a few games for that, IMO. Just brutal stuff, even if it's not intentional.

After the game he said that he doesn't want to injure anyone (make them miss the rest of the game or the next game), he just wants to hurt the opponent. That's fine, but when you go helmet to helmet (which is illegal), you are not intending to hurt them, but to injure them. The NFL is entirely justified in threatening to suspend players who go head hunting. That is an illegal hit that is keeping good players out of games due to concussions and will seriously impact later quality of life. Rodney Harrison said it was only after he was suspended for his dirty hits that he got the message. Those who think the NFL is butting in and trying to ruin their perfectly good sport don't realize that these type of hits are going to slowly destroy the sport. The NFL is perfectly justified in protecting their product. Now trying to force and 18 game schedule is another thing.

Haha, I'm right down the street from that canal, the thing is filthy. I'm guessing no one sat next to him when he was processed.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any discussion about the new "hit rule."

Blatant, dirty headshots where a defender launches himself and hits the ballcarrier in the head absolutely should be punished. However, it sounds like they're going to fine legal hits that are "too violent" or vicious. If that's the case, this rule sucks.

If that happens, it won't happen for long. The Players union will be pissed and already enough crap to figure out before next season starts.
