everybody was after kraig appleton, his teammate, whom the illini got a verbal from, apparently without even an offer. we found this out on signing day, when his letter never came, because he didn't have an offer. he signed with wisconsin, and then promptly left the team or was kicked off the team, i don't know.

 

but hawthorne is an absolute stud.

To be fair, they are going up against PSU's offense today. They're ranked 100th in the nation in points per game.

Just how much influence does JoePa still have on the program. I'd imagine it's still a good bit because PSU still looks as vanilla as they have always been. I'd imagine it's going to take a bona fide regime change for PSU to change their style. Am I wrong?
