1 point isn't enough, and yet that is what we get. Hawks lose. Turco was 0-3 in the shootout, getting fooled badly each time. The Hawks are still in 11h place and 2 points out of a playoff spot.

 

Hawks blow a 3-0 lead and after 3 quick goals, do not score again the rest of the game. I cannot express how infuriating this game is. Looks like a lost season for the Hawks.

 

Any good offers for Seabrook out there?

Well that was infuriating. Went to the CR USHL game tonight (which was crazy, game tying then winning goals in the last 20 seconds) and set a recording for the hawks game. Accidentally saw that they were up 3-0 with 5 left in the 2nd so I assumed I could skim through and enjoy the good stuff.

I don't want to give up on the season because it's not over yet but it will be disappointing to miss out on the playoffs after the last couple of years have been so fun.

I don't think Seabrook should be untouchable, but I cannot imagine a trade with a team like the Oilers that would benefit the Hawks and still fit into the Cap.

But anyway. Season's heading into the stretch now and we're just not picking up the wins we need.

i don't really like versteeg that much, but our first round pick is going to be very late in the first round so it's not a big deal. we're crazy deep at forward and strong on defense as well... just have that good ol' achilles heel that we always have.

We could use Versteeg much more than you could. I think it's a good move. You can never have enough depth. But yeah there's still the goalie issue. But you made it to the finals with an awful one and the Hawks won it with a mediocre one.

I know it is not a great draft class coming up this season, but I am still not sure that this is a good move for Philly. They are in a tight cap situation and as Truffle has already said could probably use a goalie.

Hawks getting manhandled at home against a team they need to beat for playoff position (wild).

 

Luckily Crawford has been excellent because the Wild are getting shot after shot after shot after shot against the Hawks D, who has turned it over in their own zone about 5-6 times already tonight.

 

I think 9 SOG in 8 minutes of game action for the Wild compared to 1 for the Hawks.

Nice recovery from an awful start. Crawford with a good game. I still have my doubts about their playoff chances but this was a big win.

Especially Friday. Losing to Columbus at this point is inexcusable. Then at least get a point against Pittsburgh. It's funny, but all of the sudden the Hawks are the ones with games in hand on the teams in front of them.

 

As an aside, last night was the first time I was able to keep my attention on an entire Hawks game in awhile. I think I'm finally ready to care about the 2010-11 season.
