Leddy will have to step up since Scott is pretty much worthless as a defender, though that's not why he's on the team.

Yeah, he's bad. But we need at least one enforcer. So who suits up on the blue line tonight? Keith, Seabrook, Leddy, Boynton, Scott, and ???? I guess Hendry? I've lost track of him. Has he been a scratch so far this year or is he hurt?

Why do you need an enforcer? Especially one who actually sucks at hockey.

You don't. They haven't had one for years yet went from also ran to contender to champion regardless. People just get hung up on that nonsense.

truth be told the only enforcing enforcers ever really do is getting into fights with other teams enforcers. That is why it makes no sense to have such a player who really has no other value on your team.

didn't the broad street bullies splatter anyone that came close to bobby clarke?

The gas tank bears the team logo and autographs of players and coaches. The bike's rims emulate hockey sticks and pucks and the handlebars depict the taped butt-end of a hockey stick.

"We wanted to give him a home start and give him a chance after a win as well," Quenneville said. "It's early. It's only Game 4. We want to keep him [Crawford] in the mix. Everybody is going to play. Marty is going to play a lot of hockey for us this year ... We'll be fine."

really strange decision

Turco was OK with the decision.

"There's an emphasis on winning here and it's still my most favorite thing about the Blackhawks," Turco said. "We have a ton of games coming up. He played well and we won. That's as far as I look at it."

Crawford is playing pretty well so far tonight, but I'm puzzled by him starting too.

These defensive pairings are awful.

Did you guys see that Hjalmarsson's first game off suspension is against Buffalo? Is he going to get Bertuzzied?

I don't think so. It wasn't that bad, regardless of what Ryan Miller had to say. There was a lot of debate today whether it should have been a suspension at all. But if the game gets out of hand, who knows.

Hjalmarssons hit was not even close to being as dirty as Steve Moore's unpunished hit on Markus Naslund. Hjalmarsson does not have the reputation of being as dirty of a player as Moore was.

Weird with Crawford but I'll defer to Q's wisdom on it for now.

Hawks seem to be controlling much of the action here.....there's a nice save by Craw

Between these Blackhawks games and the bits I've seen on the center ice preview, it's easy to remember why I typically don't watch a lot of hockey until winter. Sloppy and choppy without much flow. Of course the Predators don't help in that regard.
