things will get better. glad i missed this one though.

I think the banner raising ceremony was a good watch, if I was a Hawks fan it would probably have been very cool. The game itself was not good to watch, even for a Wings fan...no flow, little up and down action, a lot of bad passing by both teams.

I was impressed with a couple of the "new guys" on the Hawks. Skille made some nice plays.

Yeah I watched all that on the Blackhawks site later that night when I got off work. Definitely chill-worthy.

I think if Skille was on the top line with Hossa and Toews instead of Kopecky, the Hawks win that game. I know I don't watch every Hawks game, but I have seen little of him as a Hawk that changes my opinion of him from when he was a Wing. He will look like a great player at times to peak your interest, but when given any serious ice time will make a lot of turnovers.

There's no reason why Kopecky should be on the top line.

That's exactly what he's been like as a Hawk. Infuriatingly inconsistent.

The effort just isn't there enough of the time. He's basically a Euro-style pansy version of Buff.

Looking forward to watching the Hawks tonight so I don't obsess over the football game for reasons of my fantasy team.

Nice to see Leddy score. They may not win, but at least they recovered from the opening three minutes to tie it up.

Did they end up giving the goal to Kopecky?

I don't know about that hit. Hammer crushed him. And I guess it was bad. But it's not like he hit him in the head or face. His head just happened to hit the glass. That said, I think it's gonna cost him a couple games.

They've really tilted the ice this period. Looks familiar. And the 4th line is flying.

I didn't watch the first game but that might have been the best period of the year. Aside from the 2 goals we had a lot of chances.
