This was mentioned in one of the "Rate My Team" threads, but I think it might interest enough people to warrant its own thread as a sticky.

Holy f this is a sweet website.

also: "Overview:

Congratulations! You seem to have grabbed quality players at every turn of this draft. It's rare indeed to be better than the average team at the three core positions (quarterback, running back and receiver), but we think this team is. "

I used their site to come up with my draft list. It works especially well if no one else in your league is using them. Also, they have a cool feature where you put down all your league's scoring idiosyncrasies and they rank all the players according to your scoring system. For instance, my league has 0.5 PPR, different TD pass and interception values and IDP's. It adjusted the ranks accordingly. They ranked Aaron Rodgers as the #3 overall player based on our pts system, even though his rank according to most systems is much lower.

Beware- you have to use your own instincts though, because these guys are definitely not infallible. Also, depending on which one of them is giving advice, it can be drastically different.

It's funny that they say the same thing about my team. They help draft my team, and they like it. Go figure.

From them:

Congratulations! You seem to have grabbed quality players at every turn of this draft. It's rare indeed to be better than the average team at the three core positions (quarterback, running back and receiver), but we think this team is. And it's above average at the supporting positions as well.

Bottom line:

With great inseason management, we think you have about a 99 percent chance of making the playoffs.

With good inseason management, we think you have about a 90 percent chance of making the playoffs.

With average inseason management, we think you have a 86 percent chance of making the playoffs.

But it pissed me off that they are railing on my kicker, whom I picked because of them!

They're not huge fans of my team, but neither am I as far as that goes.

Overview:

This team is built around strong quarterback play. But it has some issues post-draft. Your only real core strength is at quarterback, yet that's often the easiest position to fill during the season. Your relative lack of strength at running back and receiver have the potential to make things challenging for you.

To turn this team into a top contender, you might need to be an active player on the waiver wire and in league trade talks. Last year running backs like Ricky Williams, Jamaal Charles, and Fred Jackson all could be had dirt cheap at the draft. Additionally, wide receivers like Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, and Mike Sims-Walker were available after a lot of the drafts. You would benefit from landing some of this year's top waiver plays, so pay close attention to increased workloads, targets, injuries, etc.

Players we particularly like on this team include Mike Wallace, Dwayne Bowe, the Titans defense, and the Eagles defense. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted.

Bottom line:

* With great inseason management, we think you have about a 60 percent chance of making the playoffs.

* With good inseason management, we think you have about a 45 percent chance of making the playoffs.

* With average inseason management, we think you have a 25 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Not bad considering I picked up someone else's spot in a keeper league and was handed a godawful team.

ETA: I tweaked the scoring just a little bit and they upped my playoff percentage a few points. nothing major, however.

Can we talk about other fantasy resources as well? I'm doing my first fantasy league (of any sport) this year and want to get well-read, but I'm brand new to everything fantasy-related and know just about nothing. Where should I start? I follow Matthew Berry on Twitter and have started reading his manifesto for this season, but he seems to be, to put it mildly, self-fellating and insufferable.

What are some good twitter accounts to follow for fantasy football? What are some other good player ranking/analysis resources that you guys use? I've scrolled through some of the player indexes, like this one, at football guys, but it strikes me as a little more comprehensive than I would need. (That list includes Trent Dilfer. Wtf.) Thanks in advance for any input.

I really like fftoolbox.com a lot.

Pre-draft, fftoolbox ranked Ray Rice #5 in standard scoring, #2 in PPR. In my 14-team league, he fell to me in the 11th overall pick, and the first ten people in the draft all said that PPR altered their opinion of him in the opposite direction.

Also, Brandon Marshall is looking like another solid pick I landed because of them.

Rice

Nicks

Marshall

Romo

Jimmy Graham

worked out VERY well in week 1.
