This rematch of the 1998, er, 2003 playoffs sees Derrek Lee make his long awaited, much anticipated return to the Friendly Confines:

As he's grown, his on field performance and off field demeanor have endeared to to fans wherever he has played. Well, as much as could be expected in 22 games for San Diego, and surely to all 1,200 Marlins fans as well. But Chicago became his home, where he was embraced as one of us.

I had to look twice at that first D-Lee pic. I can hardly believe that's him!

 

Did he just stay in Chicago or did he fly to meet the Braves and then is flying back into Chicago?

 

I predict a big weekend for Mr Lee, because why the hell not?

Great job trading a guy to a team right before you play them at home, Hendry.

 

 

This happens seasonally it seems. There's even been trades in between double headers. This doesn't crack the top 1000 of Hendry's foul ups
