American runner Manteo Mitchell ran the last 200 meters of the opening lap of the Olympic 4x400-meter relay preliminaries Thursday with a broken leg.

Not only did he break his leg, he broke his leg and STILL ran a 45s split! Their time of 2:58.87 is the fastest ever in the first round (which could be a problem, especially with losing Manteo).
