Yeah I remember that night before he became a FA being really sad because he decided to test FA. Everyone figured a team like the Angels would throw $100 million at him and he'd bolt, but then the very next morning we find out he takes a hometown discount to stay with the Cubs.

It's not like there are any monster FA's out there that they need to have a ton of money for. I'm not saying I want them to extend Aramis beyond his crazy deal, but I wouldn't mind it at all if he goes [expletive] crazy good with the bat the rest of the year and he doesn't opt out.
