I'm not too upset Votto didn't make it. He's still rounding the bases from a home run he hit last week, so I'm not sure if he'd even have the time.

yeah, none of the all-stars ever admire home runs

Sorry, Mrs. Votto.

Miguel Olivo has a .662 OPS away from Coors Field.

Which is still better than Yadier Molina's total OPS. So he's better offensively with or without Coors than Yadier Molina, and he's been the best in the majors at catching base runners trying to steal, yet Yadier Molina is starting this game :-k

Just noticed that two All Stars (Neftali Feliz and Elvis Andrus) were both sent to the Rangers for Mark Teixeira in 07. The Rangers also got Jared Saltalamacchia, Matt Harrison and another minor leaguer in the trade. That turned out to be a really solid deal for them. And the Braves got a really poor return on Teixeira when they flipped him to the Angels a year later.

One of the more notoriously one-sided trades in the last 10 years. Twins also got Boof Bonser, but he's bleh. Even if Liriano hadn't put it back together a bit and ended up fading away, Nathan for Pierzynski would still be a big win for the Twins.

Rafael Soriano and Heath Bell were added as subs for Mariano Rivera and Yovanni Gallardo who are out with injuries. Would've much preferred to see Billy Wagner instead of Bell, but Bell isn't a bad choice. Soriano is also very deserving

I remember getting laughed at when I said Votto could be a Pujols-lite this season.

Says the user who made their first post last week.

I do remember that though

Yep...after 2 different names, I finally found one I liked on this board.

I was actually trying to find that thread a few days ago, what thread was it in?

For some reason I thought it was in the "The End of Pujols" thread.

Yup, kudos on the prediction. I've always been high on Votto, but admittedly I never would've expected this kind of production from him.

Apparently FNDomination used to be A-Cal but created a new account rather than having his user name changed on the old account.

Morneau out with injury, and Girardi selects to replace the first basemen with the best 1B option not yet on the team, the one who everyone claims was severely snubbed, and the one player who would seemingly be on his way to the ASG pending another injury...

Paul Konerko. Suck it, Youkilis

The Indians got Cliff Lee, Grady Sizemore, and Brandon Phillips for Bartolo Colon. Lulz.
