I love that one of the reasons Lou gave to justify Theriot hitting lead off was that so he'd see "better pitches," like Theriot is some critical part of this team, yet in the same breath Lou has zero problem dumping Soto or Castro in the #8 spot or saddling Lee with a cleanup hitter who is having a historically bad year.

He's always been an impatient hitter, usually taking the least pitches per AB of any regular starter on the team. It always infuriated me when I'd hear idiots calling into the radio shows demanding that Theriot lead off over Soriano because he's "more patient."
