Brewers continue there homefield disadvantage with a loss to the phillies. This division is really weird so far. The Reds are threatening the cards on first place and the pirates are going to be in 3rd place...

Threatening the Cards? It's only May. The Cards choked against the Astros and Phillies, we all know they have offensive problems but the bullpen and the SP(aside from Lohse) has been good.

Relax. You guys might be the best team ever constructed. No one will ever "challenge" you. And even if they did your manager and team would be able to point out how they cheated or were too disrespectful in doing so.

You do have a point, I went a little over board with saying that. I haven't felt this optimistic about a Cards team since 2004/2005. I do realize McGwire cheated and I recognize that. But you could say that about any team in baseball and how one player cheated.

I'm talking more about LaRussa being so quick to say we are stealing signs how else could Sosa hit Matt Morris, the Reds are doctoring their baseballs how else could Chris Carpenter get hit around, Milwaukee is untucking their shirts after wins we don't do stuff like that, the mean Carlos Lee is getting too mad when he gets out doesn't he realize that Chris Carpenter is the greatest pitcher who ever lived. That type of stuff. Not about how your team employed a huge cheater and still does in Ryan Franklin.

Franklin was punished in '05 with the Mariners for cheating. The untucking shirts from the Brewers get annoying. Aside from that, I don't what else to believe fro TLR except maybe the doctoring balls at Cincinnati, there wasn't a complaint last night. Smoltz agreed wtih Carpenter and TLR about that last year.

Yea amazing that Smoltz would agree with his new teammates and new manager. No other team in baseball has complained about the "slick balls" in Cinci, must just be happening to Stl.....

Hoffman blows another save and costs the Brewers the game to the reds 5-4. :banghead:

And Scott Roeln(ex-Cardinal) hit the game tying PH HR. :banghead:

I can't hate Rolen.

The Brewers might never win another game.

However, coming into today...

Casey McGehee was hitting... .322/.393/.559 8 homers 35 rbis. And tonight he had 2 more hits and his 9th homer.

This Yankees/Rays game on ESPN is [expletive] shameless. The Yankees are getting clobbered 10-2 and Berman and Sutcliffe are calling it like a [expletive] funeral, as if this is some brutal, unfair slaughter we should be mourning and jeering the Rays for being so mean to the Yankees. I've been watching for over 20 minutes and basically NO talk of the Rays. They're killing time talking about how great and caring the Yankees are and their visits to Walter Reed hospital and [expletive] like that. It's absurd.

i love cedeno rounding second and heading for third as the cf is picking up the ball in shallow center. cedeno has some of the worst baseball instincts i've ever seen from a major league player.
