Surprised to see the Cleveland Indians as #1. Also kind of surprised not to see the Cubs on the list at all. I know were public enemy number 1 amongst NL Central fan bases.

I think Nielsen needs to do some work on their algorithms.

 

 

I wonder if this was based on in-market surveys, which might account for the readings. There might be a high percentage of Indians fans who "hate" (read: are upset with) their team in Cleveland, vs. New Yorkers, who have a whole bunch of happy Yanks fans to offset jealous Mets fans.

 

You really need to go national to get a reading on how much Yankee hate is really out there.
