Exactly. It seems like people have it in their minds that McGrady is a good shooter or something and that he can live by that even though his speed and explosiveness are completely gone. He can't.

 

Who has that in their minds? I just don't care that he states that he wants to be a starter. He should want to be a starter. He still has to demonstrate that he has anything left before he could do so, and he was saying all of this before a deal was signed. It would be the decision of anyone interested in him whether or not he could be talked into a bench role and whether or not he's even worth being signed for a bench role. If he wants to talk up his game, who gives a [expletive]? He still has to show he can back it up and it sounds like he can't even do that showing off to prospective signers.

What a silly comparison. Asik and Gibson vs. a guy was a game-changing starter. Again, he can talk all he wants; he has to back it up.

Earlier this morning I heard a blurb that the Bulls really aren't interested in signing McGrady anyway.

 

I read another blurb that says the Bulls are concerned about the same thing that I and others eluded to. McGrady wouldn't play much, and he probably wouldn't like it:

It's not as silly as you want it be. Those guys may very well be better basketball players than McGrady right now.

Exactly. I dont recall any of us being all gung ho to sign him. What myself, and N&G said was people were getting pissed off for no reason regarding some quotes TMac made. Quotes in which he clearly said he had to come to camp and win a starting job, but people still twisted the words to try and make TMac look like a prick.
