saw this on Mike McGraw's blog

Jon Rothstein, a New York radio guy, shares that an anonymous GM told him Bosh to Miami is a formality and it’s been planned for a long time.

I'm secretly hoping for the jackpot scenario:

- Bulls sign LeBron

- Bulls work out a sign and trade for Bosh that sends Deng to Toronto

- Wade becomes angry that the Heat left him with nothing and didn't get either LeBron or Bosh and leaves for Chicago.

I'd feel pretty confident in saying that would be the best team ever.

Apparently Ric Bucher said LBJ likes Joe Johnson.

So with the reports/rumors now coming out of Johnson and the Knicks, people at RealGM are speculating that the Knicks know that LeBron wants JJ, and they'4re trying to lure Johnson away from the Bulls. Which would mean we'd have to find a way to max Johnson to get him (and LBJ) here.

Really though, none of us know anything and we're just running in circles trying to figure out stuff we have no clue about.

I think JJ is in the Bulls back pocket, to be honest. I think this is the last and mostly desperate attempt by the Knicks to try to keep themselves in the hunt for James.

If that team wanted to they may be able to go 82-0.

(That may be an exaggeration but I can't think of any time that a team would have had that much talent.)

It's funny reading different teams' fans perspectives on all of this.

The Bulls fans on RealGM are talking as if LeBron has already signed with the Bulls. The Knicks fans there are adamant that Gallinari and Toney Douglass are better pieces for LeBron than Rose and Noah and seem to think when the curtains go up, LeBron will choose New York. The Cavs fans on RealCavsFans are almost in denial. They think all these reports are just crazy speculation by the media. They've been dismissing all the tweets and news articles that say he's going elsewhere. They all seem to think that LeBron is just milking this whole thing for the publicity and that he's wanted to stay in Cleveland all along and will show that soon.

I don't know who is right, but someone is gonna be wrong and it's gonna suck for that fan base.

There will be so many awesome reaction threads. I can't wait.

I'm still trying to grasp the idea that ONE player can have such an affect on not only the immediate futures of three franchises (one will move to championship contender status, the other two will be average to below average) but the whole landscape of the NBA could potential shift based on said players decision. Talk about pressure.

Imagine if Jordan had ever been a free agent like this?

He was. And the Knicks tried to get him. And Jerry ponied up $30M as a result.

Wasn't there some ridiculous offseason when Manny, ARod, and Mike Hampton (lol) signed the 3 largest contracts in sports history within a few weeks of each other?

Yep. But there wasn't 3 teams trading away players to clear cap space for him. This is definitely unique.

Hard to even draw a comparison to any other league or situation because the NBA is sort of unique when it comes to player power in these types of situations.

Really the only thing that keeps every team from groveling at LeBron's feet is the cap. Other than that, he can simply choose which team, which other players, which complete situation he wants. And, more than any other league, everyone will make every attempt to accomodate him -- even to the point of gutting coaching staff, rosters, etc.

It's really quite amazing.

Stephen A. Smith is reporting that LeBron and Bosh are going to join Wade in Miami. The whole thing is going to be a circus and no one really knows anything. It does sound like Wade wants to stay and Miami is Bosh's top choice.

Dwyane Wade denied reports that he has agreed to visit the New York Knicks on a recruiting tour, but would not rule out meeting with other teams to gauge their interest in his services.

"I haven't set anything in stone,'' the Miami Heat star told the Herald before he departed O'Hare Airport for an undisclosed getaway. "It's funny when you hear these things come out, especially when they come out about you.''

Wade will meet Wednesday with agent Henry Thomas in Chicago and officially opt out of his contract to enter free agency.

"None of us know what's going to happen," Wade said. "Not LeBron. Not me. Not Chris (Bosh). Not any of us, right now.'

At the end of that report, he apparently said, "I think I'm right. At least I hope I am."

That sure sounds real convincing..

It sort of makes sense to me, at least, unlikely some of the other rumors.

Why don't quote the National Enquirer as your source next time. They are much more believable the Screamin' A. This is a guy who had been pimping James to NY for over 2 years, then now he is hitching his bets on Miami.

I still say the biggest threat to Lebron James is from Cleveland, and nobody else.
