The assclows who decided this would be a good idea need to be kicked in the balls...It's moves like this that make me question anyone who still backs Hendry or Lou.

 :banghead:

NFL Draft tomorrow night, NBA and NHL playoffs in full swing so at least I can divert my eyes from this utter horse plop...but what do we watch from June until September? Golf? Curling? Replays of Mr. Bean?

Unfortunately, in reading a couple of other message boards I frequent, there are a LOT of people that think this is way overdue. My guess is the average Cubs fan thinks that Z and Marmol both should be sent down and are ecstatic Hill is playing so much because he plays the right way.

Why do you frequent such message boards?

I'll share this reaction if this turns out to be true. does anyone have a source other than twitter. what is the context.

if this is true, this is beyond idiotic.

From that link:

"I'm confident this will help out situation out," Piniella said. "This makes all the sense in the world. This is a significant move, not a panic move."

This is [expletive] stupid! But ofcourse it will work out immensly and the team will win so our piece of [expletive] GM and Manager can be retained. This is by far the stupidest thing I have ever seen a team do... If I didnt love baseball I would not turn another game on this year.

I am in complete shock right now... but I should be with the dumbasses running this team.

I'm pretty sure this organization is some sociological experiment to see how long it takes to completely disperse a large fanbase.

Luckily I stopped caring 2-3 years ago.

Don't see how his 1.86WHIP is going to help the bullpen. It seems to me that Z is one of those pitchers that gets harder to hit the deeper he gets in the game.

I mean, at this point being a White Sox fan sounds like a great alternative. I think this is the stupidest move in the history of baseball.

They're Hawkeye boards, but there's a bunch of Cubs fans on them. News like this brings out the worse in normally rational people. We're talking about people who know less about baseball than my 9 year old son.

Entertaining on other subjects though.

maybe he'll change his mind before it happens like he did after he said that dempster would be starting in 07.

then again, that was more of a vague hint than an announcement.

I think not caring about baseball seems like the best alternative.

It's kind of funny to think about we have a 91 million dollar arm in the bullpen and a 136 million dollar outfielder who never plays 9 innings due to his defense.

By funny, I mean #-o

Good move. Carlos Silva has obviously proven enough in his 2 starts this year that his entire career to this point was a fluke. Also, it's pretty obviously that Gorzelanny getting drilled in the arm with a line drive will give him super powers. There was just no room for Z in this super rotation.

Finally, someone makes some sense out of this whole ordeal! I see the light!

i bet we could make the bullpen even better if we move randy wells and ryan dempster there too. and as soon as we see that lilly is back and pitching well, he can start relieving as well.

I just typed ten different half sentences, desperately trying to wrap my mind aound this move.

That's pretty creative tree.
