I was there, AWESOME! It was the loudest recorded playoff arena ever at 109db. The next highest was golden state at 102db

 

Just for refrence 100db is front row at a rock concert and 115db is 100' from a jet engine. 85-95db is where hearing loss occurs from exposure.

So is anyone going to start wondering or not the Mavericks or Nuggets are good enough to win the West or are only the Lakers subject to questioning after they hold serve at home (which neither of the other teams did) and lose a tight game on the road?

I never thought either of them were good enough to win the west. It's a shame Utah is minus Okur and Kirilenko. I think that team at full strength would get it done.

I too was at the Thunder-Lakers game last night, wish I would remembered to set my DVR last night. After getting to the game and hearing how loud it got in the Ford Center I was curious of what TNT’s announcers were saying about us. Which dunk of Westbrook’s were you talking about his very first one that got the crowd going.

 

My ears are still ringing and I’m surprised I had my voice.

The problem is that the 8-seed is a pretty good team that won 50 games and was only seven games worse than the Lakers. This isn't a 1-8 matchup in the East the last couple years where the 1-seed has been 20-25 games better.

 

I don't think the Lakers are the overwhelming favorite and with their injuries and Fisher/Artest seemingly unable to make shots consistently, I wouldn't be surprised if they go down before the Finals.

Jameer Nelson cannot be stopped right now. 19 points at the end of the 1st quarter, 7-7 FG and 4-4 3PT. This after he put up 32 in Game 1. If he gets to the point where he can put up 20-25 consistently in the playoffs, we'll beat the Cavs assuming everyone else does their part.

Agreed. I'm a huuuuge Odom fan. When he's on, he might be one of the most complete players in the NBA not named LeBron, Kobe, or Dwayne just because he can do everything so well.

i cant figure this out. the lakers have two 7-footers in their starting lineup. I honestly think that if they came down the court and just gave the ball to gasol and bynum and cleared out, they would have won the series by now.

 

of course they tried that in the first quarter and fell behind by 20. honestly they just looked old and slow and unwilling to fight back tonight, it was bizarre. I can understand the old and slow thing, but they didn't appear to even care.
