Toews might have gotten drunk for the first time in his life the other night.

Unlikely. He probably went to bed once he got home.

ABC just put up a graphic that said Crowd Estimate: 2 Million

No [expletive] way.

Yeah, I'm curious if that was a [expletive] up on their part or something.

I seriously doubt that 2/3 of the population is downtown in the loop right now.

ABC just said it was the "official Chicago estimation."

I dive in my pool / It's hard to be humble / while I do a

breast stroke through an underground tunnel / and come up on

the other side in a jacuzzi being greeted by two girls

that are wearing my jersey / They give me lots of hugs and kisses

and they ask me what my wish is / I say go and get your friends 'cuz

there's gonna be a party / And in the end the Stanley Cup is the dream

and I'm like "Yes!"

Someone had to do it and I stepped up to the plate by making a facebook fan page for Kris Versteeg's rap.

I find that claim dubious, at best.

Seems dubious, but we're not talking 2/3 of the population, we're talking 2/9ths, or ~22% of the Chicago metro population. That does seem like a ton though.

I was one of those people running after the last bus. Felt kind of douchy doing it, but I just got swept up in the moment. I felt bad seeing people randomly getting trampled in the mob of people though.

I got down there at 5 am. Got back about 2 hours ago. Tons of pictures on my facebook for those so inclined.

Do we need to start the offseason thread so I can talk about this stuff and not annoy the people who just want to bask in the glow in the parade today? (Not that I'm not basking too).

Talking to other teams' fans on message boards, it feels like Niemi has got some serious "Cup-Winning Goalie" pixie dust and may be signed to a strong offer sheet. If that's the case, I really hope the Blackhawks take the 1st and 3rd picks, laugh all the way to the draft, and sign one of the many, many decent UFA goalies out there to a really cheap deal and save the cap space for forwards.

I think these estimates are always overdone. 2 million? It sounds good, and it's not like anyone can disprove it. I remember when it used to be said that there were 20,000 hockey fans in Chicago. How about 100 times that!

I don't get home until about 1:00am tonight, but I'll be staying up to re-watch Game 6 and all of the parade [expletive] I recorded on CSN today. At least I hope it recorded.

There were some boos for Huet and well, that's just not cool at all.

I didn't see it yet, but I'm fine with booing him. He's worthless and his contract (though admittedly not his fault) may hamstring the team for the next few years.
