the point is that booing the conn smythe winner is weak when that player has given you no reason to boo him

 

he played well in this series and helped the blackhawks win. so pronger played half the game and played solid defense against your top line, and committed a few penalties that allowed your team to score power play goals. he didn't hit anyone dirty or injure any blackhawks players during the entire series.

 

chicago fans would have booed anyone on the flyers who won the conn smythe because that player would have played well and hawks fans would be upset that their team didn't win. just admit that there really isn't a difference between fans of most teams. it's okay, you can do it.

 

watching conn smythe trophy presentations on youtube would suggest otherwise

i heard it on my way home. i don't know a lot about the blackhawks radio announcers, but it was pretty damn close to how i would envision ron santo reacting to a cubs world series.

Just got home from the Peoria Chiefs game and I must say the Hawks were well represented in Peoria tonight. Everytime the Hawks scored a goal they blew the horn and would play Chelsea Dagger, They also had the game on the TV's on the concourse. Also after the Chiefs won, they immediately put the game on the scoreboard in CF and when the Hawks won everybody started goin crazy honking the horns of their cars in the parking lot and then blared Chelsea Dagger for all of downtown Peoria to hear. Pretty damn cool

Wow after seeing the CSN locker room coverage I see that I am actually drinking the same shitty brand of champagne as the Blackhawks. And they were mixing it with Bud Light and Bud Light Lime in the Cup. LOL.

All I can say right now is: I am so happy. Great finish. I'm just happy its over. What an amazing celebration in Chicago tonight. Ahhh I waited 12 years for another championship. Wow. This is awesome.
