Just finishing up watching the replay on my DVR. So happy. It's so surreal at this point.

Also, I've been saving this since game two because I didn't want to jinx it, but inspired by the Canucks' logo

I can't believe they swept. It was nice to win a game where Niemi didn't have to play out of his freaking mind.

congrats to all of you Hawks fans!! I didnt have much of a cheering side in their series against San Jose but will be cheering for them against whoever comes out of the East.

Also Kyle, Crosby touched the trophy last year, so not sure that the jinx still exists.

Well its not like San Jose is chopped liver. To beat elite teams you need everyone to perform.

Im sitting here on stubhub on the order page debating clicking submit on a $310 SRO ticket to game 1. You guys decide for me.

Current odds to win the Stanley Cup on sportsbook.com

Blackhawks -350

Flyers +200

Canadiens +2500

I'm reading two schools of thought from neutral fans on hockey message boards. About 90% think the Blackhawks will roll over Philadelphia easily. About 10% think Philly is underrated because of their regular season, and that if you just take how they are playing right now they are pretty close to Chicago.

It's the freakin' Stanley Cup, man. Outside of the Winter Classic there isn't a more desireable ticket in hockey right now. If you can afford (you beat your ass I would go, if I had a chance) to go, then go, you would be a fool if you didn't go.

I'm gonna go with "upper body injury." There is no way they are letting on what that injury is or how serious it is. But I'm dying to know too. He's really an underappreciated guy on this team.

And ^^, yes, I do suppose Dollar Bill deserves some of the credit for this for dying. Thanks Bill! Why don't you ask Rocky how expensive this Stanley Cup is gonna be. Stupid SOB.

This is such a golden chance. Yes, Philly is better than their regular season record and playoff seed, but still. There is no way they can skate with the Hawks. Toews holds up THE CUP (!!!!!) after Game 5 at the Madhouse.

can't believe nobody has given any credit to bill wirtz yet. his dying made all of this possible.

In a less morbid route, can I give credit to Rocky Wirtz for not being much like his father?

Watched this game at my Grandpa's farm in the middle of Iowa with people who never really have watched hockey but it was still awesome.

Can't wait until the finals, this is going to be crazy.

Yes, Rocky deserves a lot of credit. But for the most part, all he did was do everything that it was plainly obvious needed to be done for the last 20 years.

Also the key owner in getting the cap in place

the hawks obviously spent more on their roster (and probably marketing too) than the dollar bill years, but they had sellouts pretty much every game, at least 10 home playoff games, lots more in merchandise sales, and local tv revenue. there's no way the hawks aren't making more than they did under bill. what a dolt.

any word on ladd?

On the extended WGN radio postgame show (going till 9 p.m. central time, wow!), Q said "he'll be fine" but wouldn't elaborate.

Wow, until 9:00? That's incredible. I assume all the radio talk, or at least most of it, is Hawks? A whole new generation of fans is being created here.
