So it's the white, shining, clean, champion Canucks standing on a hill defending the Holy Land of Vancouver...

......against the fat, nasty, low-life, dirty, cheating Hawks.

LOL, gotta love Canadian hockey fans.

The Nashville fan was being really annoying and stupid, but that's kind of a dick move ha.

That guy will be telling people in Nashville how Duncan Keith squirted water in his face for as long as he lives. And nobody he tells will know who Duncan Keith is.

i think the hawks improvement in the faceoff circle this year is understated

Oh absolutely. I think it was late in the game (I don't remember if it was a PK or not-actually I think it might've been when they pulled the goalie), but there were 2 or 3 faceoffs in a row in their zone and Toews won every one of them and the Hawks were able to clear it out each time.

It seemed like the guy was smiling, and his friends were definitely laughing. I think all involved were in the right frame of mind about it.

Good aim from Keith.

I'm probably just being a downer, but I'm thinking Vancouver in 5 or 6. It just feels like our luck against Luongo is about to run out, and Vancouver is not a challenge I want our D+Niemi to be taking on after we gave up 3 or 4 to the Preds in 4 out of 6 games.

In the meantime, I'm posting this anywhere a Vancouver fan might see it.

I'm definitely concerned, but I think we have to remember that the Hawks team we just saw for the last six games is not the team we are going to see on Friday night. Completely different styles, and they will (hopefully) be flying high. The only thing is everything needs to make sure they get back on defense because the Sedins will eat Niemi alive if given the chance.

Same here. For the most part Nashville had to play over their heads to keep up with the Hawks, and to give them credit they did, but the Hawks did underachieved abit in the first rd series. Now that they get to face a real solid team, I think we will see the REAL Hawks team and IMO they will performed to their abilities. If they do, Vancouver has no shot.

Yeah I agree about being concerned, but I'm also thinking that the Hawks will be a different team because they will be able to likely play a style that is more suited to benefit their abilities. This will be an extremely tough series though. Right now I'm thinking it's going to go 7 games, and I don't know who I am predicting to win yet. My head seems to lean towards Vancouver, but my heart obviously leans towards the Hawks. The Hawks are certainly good enough to win this series, but Vancouver is a better team than last year, and even last year we were fortunate to escape with a series win (although again last year we were good enough to win the series as well).

This series could go either, and while my prediction will lean heavily on homerism, I also believe they are good enough to win. I say Hawks in 6. I thiink Niemi is going to surprise alot of people in the Canuck series.

At the very least, Vancouver is evenly matched with us. They had the same number of points and actually had more non-shootout wins.

Wha?? The Hawks finished with 112 points and the Canucks finished with 103 points...or do you mean that they had the same number of points when you take out shootout wins? Which is a really weird stat.

Canucks talking about not playing like idiots, which their fans seem to forget they did last year.

I believe it was Kesler who said in the papers that he was not going fall for the temptation to fight with Ladd, then took about 10 seconds before seeking him out to get into a fight.

So yeah, we'll see how serious the Canucks are about not being too emotional. Talk is cheap.

Hawks had a better regular season, but not by too much. I do think they are a good match for us in the playoffs.

It should be a hell of a series. I like playing these guys. If we can beat them again, I think it bodes very well for us in the conference finals.

I also love the homerism that comes out of Vancouver. They make me laugh.

I think both WCSF are going to be awesome. I think San Jose against either Pheonix or Detroit is going to be great, but i think the Hawks/Canucks may be the best series of all the playoffs
