oh yeah, we've also never had a prospect like heyward, either.

Mark Prior was pretty big.

and he got hit on the elbow with a line drive, his pitching elbow, just when he looked like he was putting it together.

his [expletive] pitching elbow

I'm aware, but he wasn't a prospect then. I just meant we had a stud of that caliber. Hell Wood was pretty big as well.

well, if something both terrible and freakishly rare happens to heyward, i'll admit that fate doesn't have a penis, unlike voltron.

You lucky bastage. You know voltron's gonna rake in the girls.

Dusty killed him and he was probably going to be done within months regardless.

He began having arm problems that spring, before the line drive off the elbow.

Not to mention sending him back out there after the line drive...

The real kicker is say we had drafted Strasberg, anyone think we wouldn't have broke this one as well?

this game has also brought together the ghetto-version of cubs voltron, with erik, bum and aramis fan teaming up, which is pretty epic in it's own right

hey, they came to my defense when some freak suggested i kill myself, which was cool.

maybe you can be ghetto voltron's weiner

maybe i will be, and then me and my new friends will baby-seal the [expletive] out of you.

:-))

And while we were doing it, when he came back out for another inning with 115 pitches already thrown, in a 10-run game, many fans would still be defending the decision.

dusty overworked him, but he got hit on his pitching elbow with a [expletive] line drive while he was pitching well.

oh yeah, and he also got tackled and thrown on his shoulder once, too. and alex gonzalez (the alex gonzalez that led the league in fielding percentage) boots a double play behind him after some weirdo goes down in cub lore in game 6 of the nlcs.

if you don't think weird things happen to this team all of the time you aren't watching, ever.

I didn't dispute the 'weird [expletive] happens to the Cubs' thing. I just think Mark Prior being run into the ground was relatively speaking on the low end of the weird scale.

is soriano's contract up soon?

Yes. Also, we won the 2003 NLCS and our team isn't named after the baby version of an animal.

We win the series then after that?

I love the no trade clause, like that's gonna be an issue.

He'll be getting the Milton Bradley treatment this year, so I wouldn't be shocked if he waived it

what will be forgotten is the terrible call, which the braves players are laughing about right now.

If it were cricket, McLouth would have been expected to tell the umpires he dropped it or face a stiff fine.
