On a down note the bracket I filled going solely on who Pomeroy had ranked higher is doing better than my actual bracket. I had ND while it had OD. I also had Vandy beating Butler and it had Butler beating Vandy.

My brother picked Hampton over Iowa State the year Iowa st. was a 2 and Hampton was 15, he ended up winning the pool and $2000. Still hear about it from him to this day, not that I blame him.

same here... that probably remains my greatest ncaa bracket accomplishment. that year i also had southern illinois in the sweet 16, UNC-willmington beating USC and mizzou making the sweet 16 (actually made elite 8) and all of the final four right except for indiana. it was unbelievable how well i did that year; i finished around 200 out of 2 million on espn.

Butler to the 16 in 2003 is my only contribution to the 'cool Cinderella picks'.

 

I also had Syracuse as the runner-up in 03, which won me my pool and is still the closest I've ever come to picking the NCAA champion. :(
