I'm sure they do but I would guess that 80% of the teams that played OSU this year thought afterwards they had a good chance to win and could have won. Michigan lost to them 3 times by like 15 total points.

 

Oh well. I'm a pessimist so I gotta cheer for MSU here in case somehow the committee decides there should only be 6 Big Ten teams even though everyone and their mom thinks Michigan is in

I agree with the above. Yesterday's loss was squarely on the players. The offense stagnated, they had no response and no one knew what they were doing. Four seniors on the floor. Let me repeat FOUR SENIORS. They shouldn't have to be coached in that situation, they should just do. McCamey should have taken that game over and gone to the hoop, but he's a chicken [expletive] and doesn't deserve to wear the jersey.

Or maybe if McCamey ever had a teammate his entire run here that was close to him in skill level it wouldn't have all fallen on him. He used to have the balls to take the big shots. he did against IU last year and attempted to against Clemson at home his soph year. That was beaten out of him by years of being thrown under the bus, cause it was his fault Bruce [expletive] the bed fr recruiting for 5 years. Then again maybe Bubbles would have thought about how these seniors can't get it done when it matters and got the kids more minutes during crunch time to see if they could. It is hard for me to convince myself that Illinois really deserves to make the tournament. Maybe their resume is better than some other teams but they are playing like a team right now that seems to better fit in the NIT.

 

Assuming they do make it watching them lose in the first round to a more disciplined and better coached mid major team seems inevitable.
