If Irvin's looking for cash, Shaw won't be going to DePaul either.

yeah, purnell's clean as they come.

as much as i hate to say it, i think irvin favors depaul over illinois because purnell's black and weber has been accused of not being able to relate to black players, which totally boggles my mind.

The NCAA isn't going to kill a cash cow program no matter how long ago major violations were.

Does their current status actually affect NCAA revenue? Deals are in place and contracts are signed years in advance, do you think they'd suffer much without them?

the amount of pissed-off drunken hillbillies with rifles roaming the interstate looking for cityfolk would cost tons of money, though.

yeah, because that's what would happen.

i'm telling you guys. the death penalty is coming.

and sam thompson to ohio state.

i was hoping he'd go somewhere far away, but whatever, he won't be evan turner.

I don't get the allure of the kid myself, I know he's a nice athlete, but he's never really been a good high school player.

espn.com[/url]"]Documents obtained by ESPN.com via a Freedom of Information Act request show that the University of Tennessee self-reported several NCAA violations involving its men's basketball team, including nearly 100 impermissible phone calls to various recruits.

The violations, which cover a period of two years, were discovered after the university submitted phone records to the NCAA basketball focus group at the group's request and involved 10 different recruits.

One document reveals that associate head coach Tony Jones made 39 impermissible phone calls and Bruce Pearl made five more to one recruit alone. That athlete is currently on the Tennessee roster.

In addition to the phone calls, the university admitted that assistant coach Jason Shay approved lodging expenses for the parents of three recruits, who were en route to Knoxville for official visits, and that those three recruits each were allowed visits that extended beyond the NCAA mandate of 48 hours.

The names of the recruits currently associated with Tennessee were redacted but others were not. The former prospects whose names are listed are Elliot Williams (now in the NBA), Chris Singleton (now at Florida State), Rico Pickett (playing overseas), Josh Selby (now at Kansas), Aaron Craft (now at Ohio State), Justin Martin (now at Xavier) and Griffin McKenzie (also at Xavier).

I'm shocked...nay, stunned, to find out that Pearl is not only a cheater, but a big, fat, lying through his teeth cheating bastard.

oh pearl, i can't wait for you to go away forever.

north central may need a head coach soon, he should apply.

I hope you're not talking about the North Central in Naperville. I don't want to go to jail.

Come on Sulley, there has to a prison team where this guy can coach. Don't set Tim up like that.

Snood...Josiah Turner to Arizona.

yeah, sucks. of all the schools. wouldve liked to have gotten him on campus fir an official. oh well.

Who else are you going after for PG? UCLA's next priority is Quinn Cook but I imagine he'll be a Dukie if they offer. Of course it probably doesn't matter; Ben Howland's recruiting record going east of the states touching the Pacific is horrible.

Cook for us, too. I dont have high hopes, even though he's friends with a couple of our players. Hope maybe turner reconsiders.

I'm giggling hearing rumblings that Selby may not be cleared to play for KU this year.

I'm hearing 4 game suspension, a la Wall. I think we'd win the North without him anyway.
