Both Thanksgiving day games look bad again. I wonder why they don't make sure one of the matchups looks decent before the beginning of the season? It was pretty obvious both the Lions & Raiders would be marginal or bad, even back when the schedule was made.

Broncos/Giants should be a really good game, though.

Probably better than the first two, but the Broncos haven't been entertaining to watch for awhile now.

Turkey's in, happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Wow, the Silverdome sold for $583k. It cost $220 million 2009 dollars to build

Amazing. If I was a rich guy I would have bought it too. It's a good investment.

Sorry if this has been mentioned... but Jim Kelly is saying Tebow could be the new guy for the Bills...

Whether it's Tim Tebow, whether they'll have a shot at him when draft time comes ... you have to look at the top three quarterbacks in the draft, really study them.

:-))

I don't think Tebow will amount to much in the pros but some people do and he could pan out. Many have before that did little in college and no one expected to do well in the pros.

Charles Woodson donated $2 million to the Motts Children Hospital in Ann Arbor. Pretty cool.

That piece they did before the first game was really cool. Seems like a legitimately nice guy.

That Obama commercial is code. See, Brees is throwing the ball (a job) to some kid in the back, but Obama picks it and then gives it to a kid that wasn't even trying to catch the ball in the first place.

I like how he says stay away from QB's in California. That one guy that's playing for the Packers is doing pretty good for himself right now.

If Jared Allen wasn't going nuts this year, Woodson would be the leader for DPOY. Two of his last three games have just been ridiculous in terms of takeaways. Like Moss, he just needed to get the hell out of Oakland.

Just win against Baltimore and I think we'll be in the playoffs. That's way easier said than done, however.

Darren Sharper is in that conversation. 7 INT's, 3 returned for TD in 9 games this year.

Yeah, forgot about him as well. Woodson has 7 INT's now and a number of forced fumbles too.

He is also allowing a lot of catches like he always has. He either gets the big INT or he gives up the catch because he always goes for the INT even when he has no chance. See his only 7 PD's and 44 solo tackles as evidence.

He is having a good year but he isn't close to Allen or Sharper in the DPOY race at this point. Jonathan Joseph I would say is above him as well. He has 5 INT's (same as Woodson coming into week) and league leading 15 PD's for the surprise team of the year.

How is 44 solo tackles evidence of that? And according to nfl.com Woodson has 18 pds to Joseph's 20. Woodson also has 2 sacks to JJ's 0 and 4 forced fumbles to JJ's 1. JJ may be a better pure cover corner, I don't know, but play makers win post season awards and Woodson has made more plays than JJ. To say Woodson isn't at least close to Sharper and Allen is ridiculous.

edit: I noticed a discrepancy between Passes defensed listed on nfl.com and espn.com and I was a little confused, but went with nfl.com because I take that to be the official stats. I just figured out the difference is due to nfl.com counting interceptions as defensed passes. So Woodson has 11 non interception passes defensed and Joseph has 15 (one game behind). I'll still say that Woodson gets my extremely biased, layman vote for DPOY as of now.

When it comes to CB's, solo tackles are largely due to allowing a catch and then getting the tackle. CB's don't get many solo tackles on runs. They come up in run support a lot and get tackles but those don't go in as solo.

Looks like Joseph isn't doing as well as thought. This does however back up what I said against Woodson. He gives up a lot.

Anyways Joseph, while not as good as thought, is still just as good as Woodson.

Joseph 8th in coverage, Woodson 23rd

Joseph 8 PD (7th), Woodson 1 PD (80th)

Woodson is the best against the run but to me at least I'll take the better cover corner every time because CB's don't get many chances to get tackles in the run game.
