Flames has to be stoked right now. Southern Illinois is up 27-3 on South Dakota State at halftime. Assuming they don't slip up, they'll get a seed and at least two home games in the FCS playoffs.

lafayette beat colgate and holy cross struggled to beat lehigh today. next week is essentially the PL championship unless either team blows their nov. 21st game. lafayette and hc will each be 8-1 and undefeated in the league next week, and each will be nationally ranked... probably the best PL game in many years.

Good bad game by the Badgers today. They seem to excel in those this season. They have a young team, though, and could make a run at the Big Ten title next season.

Here's hoping for the Capital One Bowl or an unbelievably unlikely at large BCS bid this year.

navy's kicker just shanked a 30 yard field goal at the end of the half.... could've been up 3 scores at halftime.

ND's kicker is 0-2

Oh and they didn't score with 4 chances from like the 1.5 yard line.

just read on a holy cross message board that if the patriot league finishes in a three-way (or more) tie, with the tying teams having no advantage against each other (say, colgate beat lafayette, lafayette beat holy cross, holy cross beat colgate), the tiebreaker would go to a vote of the league's ADs of teams not involved in the tie, with a three-fourths majority required. failing a three-fourths majority, they would then flip a coin. if there's a dumber tie breaking procedure in college football, i'd like to hear it.
