The Celtics still had a chance of avoiding LeBron's engine of death until the conference finals.

i hope that the garnett and pierce both get hurt in this last minute and can't play in the playoffs.

I hope Derrick Rose Jay Williamses himself

He ain't that stupid.

His SATs(or lack thereof) say otherwise

You don't know that, since Rose didn't take his SATs. You are putting someone else's stupidity on Rose.

Rose fails ACT 3 times

I just want to know how much Sheed pushed that spread that he needed to help you guys by scoring that basket.

Or maybe he just figured any lead less than 25 wasn't safe with the Bulls in charge.

I've read this multiple times and still don't understand what you're trying to say.

I would've preferred to play them ourselves, but in the absence of that possibility, watching LeBron steamroll them four straight times is a decent way to go. This is assuming the Heat lose to them though, and I'm not sure that's assured.

How would one fail an ACT? You are just given a number.

You can't fail an ACT. So I don't understand what SSR is going for. Rose is no Myron Rolle, but he isn't stupid by any means.

Well SSR is just restating what the article indicates, which is three failures.

You and me both.

I assume they're using "fail" as shorthand for failed to get necessary score to be admitted to a college. "Failing" for one player is differerent than "failing" by another depending on what their high school GPAs were.

So hypothetically, (I don't know their admission guidelines) an applicant to Harvard, who scored a 30, failed the ACT?

Well, there's no written standard for test scores for non-athletes. The NCAA requires (through a combination of GPA and ACT/SAT scores) a certain minimum standard to be met.

Or maybe Rose just got a 0

Or he may not have shown up to take the test. Like I said, Rose isn't stupid.

A. that seems like a stupid thing to do.

B. According to the report, Rose took the ACT exam three times in the Chicago area and did not meet a qualifying score.

C. This is a really pointless topic to be arguing over, I just don't see the need to defend Rose's fraudulent/non-qualifying test scores.

I don't see the point in bringing it up in the first place like it has anything to do with how well he or the Bulls play.

I didn't bring up Rose's intelligence, somebody else said he was too smart to crash a motorcycle and end his career. I'm well aware that it has nothing to do with on-court performance, one of the reasons Garnett went pro out of high school was because he couldn't qualify.

Every account of Rose says that he's a quiet kid who doesn't get himself into trouble. I'm assuming this would include motorcycle trouble.

Being able to "pass" the ACT or SAT is hardly an indicator of whether someone is smart or not.

derrick rose is dumb, but jay williams and jayson williams are smart and still ruined their lives.

so, i guess anyone in the nba is capable of ruining their lives.

.......or getting stabbed in the face.

And Jay Williams is ruining my life by being on ESPN.

Did you see him on sportsnation yesterday with the top three high school players? It was ridculous. I really hope he gets another shot in the NBA to get him off of my TV.

it sucks that they gave him a job because he knows ratface.

He's actually pretty good on-air, but please don't let your blind hatred of K get in the way of reality. Carry on.
