Fatty again.

That was so predictable. Sorry dew.

Considering Tennessee had about 40 seconds to move the ball further down field, but instead opted to be complacent with a 44 yard kick, that's on Kiffin.

Agreed. Just like the Ravens last week against Minnesota.

I mean, the kicker had already missed two past 40, that was poor strategy.

They could've clocked it and ran a pass play but there's a good chance they don't gain another yard. Plus they can't afford to take a sack without a timeout.

They had enough time for a pass play or two to the sidelines. Even a quick 5-8 yard route followed by a spike would have given them a better chance.

1: Thank EFFIN' gawd for TERRANCE "MOUNT" Cody. H ekept 6 points of the board. Bless you young man, bless you.

2: Thank gawd for the week off as Alabama definately looked weery and tired.

3: Helluva game Tennessee fans, helluva game. A game i expect in this series. The cigar I'm smoking right now is pretty sweet, but I realize how lucky Bama was in this game.

Week off..............week off.......................week off......................week off.

It didn't matter if we were on the 5 or the 40, though. The kick was blocked and Lincoln wasn't getting his kicks high enough. And honestly, with the offensive mishaps we've had this year, I don't like the idea of playing with the clock.

y'all are also lucky that y'all played Ole Miss earlier in the season before they worked out their kinks.

I would rather trust my o-line to block than a kicker to make a 44-yard FG, especially at the college level. Most NFL kickers will make a 44 yarder a large majority of the time. College kickers are the exact opposite.

Ya'll so lucky that you only lost 22-3. :hello:

6 turnovers, each giving y'all excellent field position, and all you could muster were 5 field goals and a cute 4th down TD. Sounds like a great day at the office. If Ole Miss had ANY offense that day, BAMA probably would have lost.

Part of that has to do with distance. Usually, kickers use low line drive kicks from long range in order to get the distance. The closer you get, the higher you can kick it in the air in order to get it out of reach of the defensive line.

I cannot figure out who to pull for, Florida or Mississippi State....I always love seeing the no.1 team fall, but State is just....just the enemy since birth.

State sucks ass, but don't be surprised if it is a close game.

The more you throw the more you take the chance that a great Alabama defense will intercept the ball. If Tennessee continues the drive and either gets the ball intercepted, runs out of time or Crompton gets sacked, Lane gets lambasted for that too.

I think the right decision was made given the team Tennessee currently has. If the offense were better, I think they probably should have tried either for a touchdown or more yardage.

Right, but even Lincoln's 24 yarder that he made earlier was kicked very, very low (as in just barely over the linemen). For whatever reason he was just kicking extremely low today and it bit him twice.

I wonder how much - if at all - Mullen's familiarity with Florida's personnel and Meyer's tendencies and game plan will help Mississippi State?
