I need to put last week out of my head. Was the second-highest scorer in both of my leagues and lost both games. Terrible.

Chris Johnson @ New England or Benson vs. Houston?

And this is an honest question:

Orton @ San Diego or Brees vs. New York Giants?

I see that DEN-SD game as a shootout, and I'm concerned about Brees against that defense. Still, I'm crazy to even consider this, right?

If it makes you feel better, the only 5-0 team in either of my leagues has the lowest point total of all 20 teams (10 per league).

I know the Giants pass defense numbers are gaudy but they've faced 3 of the 5 worst teams in the league and Washington and the Cowboys aren't very good either. Saints are coming off the bye with a ton of weapons. I would start Brees if it were me, but Orton should do well this week too. I think you're picking between two strong options.

I keep guessing wrong with Benson. I played him against Cleveland and he didn't do much, then benched him agains the Ravens and he went off. I think he's the safer pick against Houston, and Johnson (take out week 2 - against Houston - and he doesn't have a 100 yard game OR a touchdown) is the boom bust pick because he's got the speed to get a monster play or two that make his whole week. Again, picking between two good options but I probably go Benson if he doesn't have health concerns during practice this week. Hopefully I don't go 0-3 on Benson picks! Haha...

I need 2 of these:

Benson vs. HOU

Forte @ ATL

Westbrook @ OAK

I'm leaning Forte/Benson... but I like Westbrook too...

Also, for 3rd WR this week (need 1):

Knox @ ATL

Maclin @ OAK

Harvin @ BAL

edit: These guys are on the waiver wire so I could grabe one and drop one of the three guys above.

Mike Wallace vs. CLV

Mario Manningham @ NO

Don't really know which way to lean here...

Thanks!

I thought about grabbing Wallace and starting him, but Burleson was available so that was an easy decision. Starting Burleson over Harvin, Hester and Berrian. No question.

For you, go with Maclin. I'd say Manningham, but there are injury concerns.

As to the running backs, no reason to stray from Forte and Benson.

1 league:

Julius Jones vs. ARI or Steve Slaton @CIN

2nd league:

McNabb @OAK or Brees vs. NYG

Need to start 3 of:

Harvin vs. BAL

Knox @ATL

Driver vs. Det

Colston vs. NYG

of the 3 WR I think Driver is the only guy that I am going with for sure, need 2 of the other 3.

I'd go Slaton, McNabb and Colston/Driver/Knox...only b/c ATL's secondary is the worst part of their defense

I've got:

To pick 2 of,

Darren Sproles against Denver, Ryan Grant against Detroit or Rashard Mendenhall against Cleveland

Also picking 1 of:

Chris Henry against Houston, Jeremy Maclin against Oakland or Mohamed Massaquoi against Pittsburgh.

I'm leaning towards Grant/Mendhall and starting Maclin. But definitely option to suggestions

Bye week for Romo gives me a sad option...

Edwards @ NYJ

Bulger @ Jac

Normally I'd go Bulger in a heartbeat especially considering the defenses theyre playing, but I'm worried about that shoulder injury...

As far as running backs go I have a whole jumbled mess (pick 2):

Forte @ Atl

Slaton @ Cin

Rice @ Min

Benson @ Hou

Lynch @ NYJ

Bradshaw @ NO

So far, I'm perfect at benching Slaton, Rice, and Benson when they have huge games and starting them when they suck. MINs run D hasn't been what it usually is, but its still good. Bradshaw seems to have a lot of potential, and I think the Bears-Falcons is going to go pass heavy fairly quickly, so I'm leaning towards Bradshaw/Benson, but I'm open to suggestions.

As a general rule I start anyone playing the Raiders.

Looks like Parker's on his way back, so Mendenhall is gonna lose some points. Denver's defense is apparently good now, so I'd go either Grant or Mendenhall.

Well a #1 WR against the Raiders is usually rough going due to Asomugha. But Maclin has a #2 or #3 should get chances.

Sounds like Thomas might be pretty limited so your decision might be made for you. Other than that, it's a pretty tough call. I'd probably bench Jackson.

My turn:

Colston v NYG or Breaston @ SEA?

mario manningham has been having a pretty good year so far, and i figure that the giants are going to need to throw a fair amount to keep up with the saints in this one.

If Hakeem Nicks is available I would grab him before Manningham.

Manningham and Nicks were both grabbed by people above me in the waiver order. Looks like it's Maclin over Harvin and Knox.

I have to sit one: Jacobs vs. NO, Steven Jackson vs. JAC, Pierre Thomas vs. NYG, or Ray Rice vs. MIN

I would sit Ray Rice.

My quarterbacks are Eli Manning and Drew Brees.......... :D

I'm leaning towards starting Brees, due to Eli's injury concerns.

Everyone I know with Brees is worried about him this weekend. I don't know... the Giants have a good defense but they've played some pretty terrible teams. I'd stick with Brees over Manning.

Need to find somebody to fill Peyton's bye week:

Stafford/Culpepper v GB

Sanchez v Buffalo

Not the best of choices by any means.

In another league I'm filling Jason Witten's bye week:

Marcedes Lewis v StL

Ben Watson v Ten

Jermichael Finley v Det

Posted

Tight Ends:

Greg Olsen @ Atl

Chris Cooley @ Car

Wide Receivers:

Larry Fitz @ Sea

Brandon Marshall @ SD

Michael Sims-Walker StL

Greg Jennings Det

I need to pick 2 WR, and another probably fills my flex spot. Any 4 of them has a decent chance of putting up a good week, so the approach I'm taking on who to sit is who is most likely to have a bad week. Part of me thinks Jennings. He hasn't gotten a lot of targets early on and if GB gets up early they'll just be running it. Its such a strong match up though verse Detroit at home. I could see Marshall having a quieter game with Denver likely to run all over SD, but how do you sit a guy whose been as hot as him? The you have Sims-Walker on a bad team, but going against an even worse team, and he has been targeted more than anyone else. Then Larry Fitzgerald is just a stud, and its never really smart to bench him. Plus, should be a close game, so Arizona should be throwing it.

I'm thinking: Fitz, Walker, Marshall. Agreed?

That's what I am thinking. But come Saturday night, I will prolly flip a coin.

Need to start 2 RBs:

Grant vs. Det

Benson vs. Hou

Forte @ Atl

T. Jones vs. Buf

LT vs. Den

So far I'm leaning Benson and Grant.

I've got Benson, Forte, Westbrook in one league and I'm going with Benson and Forte. What's the rest of your team look like? You should trade some of that solid RB depth for an upgrade somewhere else!

Pick 5 of 7 (2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex):

Forte vs. Atlanta

Grant vs Detroit

Moreno vs SD

V. Jackson vs Denver

Marshall vs SD

Jennings vs Detroit

Welker vs Tennessee

Moreno is probably the worst player of the bunch, but he also is likely to get a ton of carries against a horrible run defense so far (and he has been showing his stuff the last two weeks). The rest have good matchups besides Jackson who has had a great start to the season. I'm having a hard time separating any of them from each other.
