I love how an undefeated team who has played all but one team with a winning record (and beaten them) doesn't deserve to be in the top 25. To be honest with you, Iowa's resume looks better than half the top ten's, including Texas (no I'm not claiming Iowa is better).

Arizona and Penn State are good wins, even at home.

Penn State was on the road

Oh, my bad. Obviously makes Iowa look even better.

Iowa would get stomped vs the 7th, 9th, and 10th teams in the BCS. They are undefeated but they are probably the worst undefeated team in a major conference, and that major conference is horrible.

Oh no, bitter football face.

Is it true that Illinois is 15-45 in their last 60 Big Ten games? Damn all that talent that the Zooker has brought in...

It's okay Keener. You've shown that you have no capability for being rational when it comes to sports. Especially with teams in the same conference as your own.

You seriously think they would get stomped by LSU and Miami? You also think Iowa is worse than Cincinnati? It's funny how those damn biased computer rankings don't seem to think so.

They're a legit top 10 team. Whether they're top 5 depends on if the offense can progress and click together finally. The problem with your rants is, there aren't many, if any complete football teams this year. You can't make those statements about how they would get killed because no one is proving to be that great overall.

Nice to see the Illini brought up for some reason, and Im not sure why? The football team sucks, its not hard to admit.

As for being rational, look in the mirror. You cant take any kind of criticism against your team. Your teams have no flaws

I do think they would get beat by LSU and Miami. They have struggled against the likes of the mighty Northern Iowa, in Iowa City. They struggled with the powerhouse Arkansas State, in Iowa City, and barely beat Michigan in once again, Iowa City. They beat a bad Wisconsin team, unconvincingly. They have wins over an average Penn State team, a below average Iowa State team, and a not very good Arizona team.

Please tell me what in their resume shows them as a legit top 10 team.

My teams have no flaws? See my post that you quoted where I listed some of the flaws you dolt.

Wisconsin is a bad team now? They beat them by 10 on the road. Penn State is average? Arizona is not very good? Do you realize how clueless you are?

Not very good Arizona is ranked 14th in Sagarin.

Average PSU is 21st in Sagarin and their only loss is to Iowa at home.

Bad Wisconsin is ranked 32nd in Sagarin

Michigan is 34th in Sagarin

Iowa State had a blocked extra point that would have taken KSU to overtime and was inches from a game-winning touchdown at Kansas

Iowa's bad schedule is ranked 20th in the country. Seriously, you're embarrasing yourself.

Resulting to name calling now, typical. Kiss my ass, put me on ignore bitch

Im not seeing whats impressive with Arizona at all.

They're #22 in the BCS and tied for 2nd in the Pac-10 after beating decent Oregon State(on the road) and Stanford teams. Their other loss is on the road to decent Washington on a pick-6. They aren't Texas, but it's a perfectly good non-con win.

Ranked 14th by Sagarin, ranked by most computer polls.

Beat Central Michigan by two scores. They have a top 5 QB, haven't lost since that and won at MSU. They're a good team, ranked 27th.

Won at Oregon State which is extremely tough. Beat a decent Stanford team. They had Washington beat on the road until that fluke play I mentioned. That's their only other loss besides Iowa.

Iowa was up 17 until garbage time and won by two scores.

I sure can, because the rankings are ostensibly based on the performance of the two teams during the 2009 season, and Alabama's performance has been much better.

Better? Perhaps. Much better? No. All the computers have the two teams split for the most part, both the bcs ones and the non bcs ones. if anything they're pretty much equal this year. then you give the benefit of the doubt to florida since they beat alabama last season. if alabama and florida were to play next week, who do you think wins? i dont think alabama can score on florida's defense and tim tebow would be able to make enough plays to pull it out.

Alabama has the best defense in the country. The great Tebow's two turnovers were the only reason the Gators had a close game with Arkansas last week. Florida's offense has underachieved significantly in SEC play. I think Bama would win by a touchdown.

Not that it's perfect at this point but while on topic, strength of schedules of top 10 in BCS:

USC- 11

Miami- 16

Iowa- 20

LSU- 22

Alabama- 26

Boise- 38

Florida- 46

TCU- 53

Texas- 56

Cincinnati- 71

It's possible that they could finish with 7-8 wins too. Which isn't too bad. A top ten team should be able to beat that sort of team convincingly and Iowa did that. Wisconsin probably finishes with 9-10 wins if they beat who they are supposed to and Penn State probably do the same and Michigan is pretty similar to Arizona in my opinion.

I know people look at the UNI game (and they should, it's a part of the schedule) and the Arkansas State game and discount Iowa but they have some pretty good darned good wins and they deserve to be in the top ten. If they deserve to be there in the end it will show in their final record.

Maybe you are right and Im putting too much stock into the UNI game and the Arkansas St game. I just have a hard time believing a top 10 team in the country sneaks by twice against teams like that, at home. Maybe its a really down year in college football(which I think it is) but those 2 games to me just keep flashing in my head, and makes me lessen Iowa as a team. Like you said if they get by the rest of the schedule unscathed, then they will deserve to be there.

whenever i get down about illinois, i just think about this:

it gets really interesting at the 43 sec mark.

if Pike is out long term, Cincy won't last in the Top 12. I know the Big East is bad and all, but losing a QB of his caliber is a big blow

well, it was fun pretending we might be in SC's league for a little bit.
Its fun. Every year we hear about how this is the year Notre Dame can hang with USC and will beat them. Every year the week of buildup up to the game is ESPNs wet dream. Every year Notre Dame eats doughnuts all game with Charlie Weis.

1) First time in 3 years this game was built up.

2) Fat jokes aren't funny anymore.

yes they are, he's fat dumb and ugly, it's perfect and still funny

Sam Bradford should have followed the lead of the best QB in football last year, Mark Sanchez, and gone pro. He wouldn't be a NFL star like Sanchez is but maybe the little guy could have found work as a backup QB somewhere.

Hahaha NFL star?
